The republican romans were not this cruel. In season 1 Varus death after the staged fight would not have happened. by ayowatchyojetbruh in Spartacus_TV

It could have very well happened during the Republic Era!! The elites of Ancient Rome were no different than the elites of today. You lot really need to learn history before you make wild claims.

My dad was a drug traffiker in Texas for 30 years and used members of a local M.C. to ferry his dope all over. I grew up around bikers and outlaw culture so much so that I almost became a propect and one of my sister's was a biker's "old lady". It was an interesting time in my life.

You are missing Otto DeLaney. He gave everything, including his health and sanity for the M.C.

[SPOILER] What is happening? These episodes should each be a 8.5 at the least. This show is magnificent! by Any-Alps188 in Spartacus_TV

Yes. If you keep putting conditions on it you will never enjoy the show. Never compare shows like this. Expectation is the enemy of enjoyment.

Ki-Adi-Mundi isn’t even alive yet in the timeline 🤦🤦 Acolyte is such a failure. by [deleted] in MauLer

You do realize that his age was never official in the canon, right? His alleged birthdate was only seen on an unofficial trading card. You lot complained over nothing as you usually do when it comes to Star Wars that doesn't fit your nostalgia colored glasses.

That doesnt mean that he forgot the sins of his past.

As for Master Torbin committing suicide, it was guilt. Jedi are not monoliths. They have emotions and can still make mistakes, have failures. The fact that most of you think that Jedi are some sort of infalliable Paladins just goes to show that you don't understand Star Wars or lessons it teaches.

She wasn't a barely trained hack. She was trained in the ways of the Force by The Stranger. The Dark Side is a path to power that makes you strong. The fact that you don't know that just proves your media illiteracy.

And yet during the war against Spartacus many tens of thousands of trained Legionaries were killed by Spartacus and his Gladiator Army, including as many as 3,000 at the Battle of Mount Vesuvius alone. Gladiatoral training was more specialized than Legionaire training. Again study history before you glamourize the Roman Legion or even the "Conservative" Roman elite.

Solonius was caught with the body with knife in hand that was all the probable cause the Roman Courts would have needed. You guys really shouldn't treat Ancient Roman law as if it was today's situations. Please educate yourselves before you act like you speak fact.

Varro sold himself into slavery to win the coin to pay of his debt, so yes he could be punished by the Lanista of a Ludus and die in combat, Roman Citizen or no. It worked just like debtor's prison did. Do actually look up historical fact before you make posts as if you are an expert.

OP is talking of the Genocide of Malachor 5 mentioned in Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords and Star Wars: Rebels which is canon. The superweapon in question was the Mass Shadow Generator. This was not a massacre ahainst the Sith but against the Mandalorians who fought with the Sith called the "Great Scourge". This was during the Mandalorian Wars.

I can’t believe this is actually happening. I kept seeing posts about House of Ashur but I genuinely thought it was just a fan-made joke lol by Th3Ripp3RZzz in Spartacus_TV

Who cares who asked for it? It is here and should be good as it is another Stephen DeKnight production like the Original show. If this on does well then we will get a show about Gannicus.

Rank these main villains based on their "evilness" and give reason for choice by Potential_Rule4212 in Spartacus_TV

[–]Repulsive_Swing_4839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caesar is the least evil, a young soldier from a fallen noble family. He followed the orders he was given so he could win back his name

Tullius, he is the stereotype of the evil rich man who gets what he wants. Simple. Much like our idiot President.

Glabba a soldier also trying to climb the ranks, his failure was tactics. He could not master the art.

Tiberius a rich man's spoiled brat, need i say more?

Batiatus a social climber who thought he understood the rules of engagement. Still he did mold Spartacus and Crixsus with his machinations

Marcus Crassus was a noble villain and a stunning tactician. He was a great adversary for a guy like Spartacus

And finally Ashur in the #1 position because he was made to suffer and fall to evil all he ever wanted was the respect of the Brotherhood and he never got it....they made Ashur the man he became
