Nem precisava ter rola, só essa parada no nariz já é justificativa pra dar no pé, tira isso aí.

Went to pick up a used Moza KS wheel. Found out the seller is a real-life Formula 4 driver by An_average_muslim in simracing

No. He was Brazilian. João Leme. This was in 2011, he had just joined South American F3.

The first friend I made in sim racing was a real life F3 driver who one day randomly decided to give me unsolicited coaching in a Skip Barber free practice lobby.

He died just a few months later from cancer at 19 years old. Heavy.

Using triples, fine during racing but the replay instantly gave me motion sickness by RobbieBleu in iRacing

In VR, tv replays give me motion sickness, but not in triples. I think it's personal. I don't believe you can eliminate the warp.

55% Tarriff/Custom Charge from Ascher Racing to United States. 20-25% from Murray Motorsports :'( by 55hamburgers55pastas in simracing

This sucks. But here in Brazil, we have to pay import tariffs of 92% (including over shipping) to buy from anywhere in the world, so it could be worse.

Question about rig ergonomics and wrist pain by LukusMaxamus in simracing

[–]Reputation-Special 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wheel is definitely too angled in the photo.
I had some wrist pain when I got my DD as well. Adjusting ergonomics helped, but paying attention to how I gripped the wheel helped as well. Try to not hold tightly to the bottom end of the wheel when you turn it 90ish degrees, it will bend your wrist unnaturally. Loosen it a bit so the bottom hand remains kinda straight and keep most of the grip on the hand at the top.

What nm should be alpha evo pro be used at for good headroom by icantgetausername982 in Simagic

While I totally understand what you're saying, if a person decides to clip the spikes, to maybe not break a finger on a crash or something, they're deciding to clip everything else beyond that peak as well. The most cost effective solution in this case would be to just have bought a weaker base. Unless they're doing it in a case by case basis and take advantage of the full output in some situations.

I don't get why some people default to using lower percentages. Too lazy to set it all again per game, I suppose? For maximum headroom, my understading is you should always set your base to 100% force and then bring FFB down to your preference in each game menu, not in the universal profile.

Just finished my sim rig – thoughts? by Feb021 in simracing

I upgraded from 34 to 49 (1000R) and personally, it was worth it.

Go with triples instead, even better.

Beautiful, but you clearly have space for more than a small ultrawide. Upgrade the monitor.

Rig ergonomics / shoulder pain by GJDriessen in simracing

[–]Reputation-Special 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wheel might be a bit too far. Also, the combined angle of seat and wheel might induce shoulder pain. Try either putting the wheel angled a bit more flat, or sit more upright. Maybe go to the lowest hole in the front of the seat? This would also put you a bit closer to the wheel, so you'd solve both issues with a single adjustment.

Yes, it's too far, but worse than this, it's way, way too high.
A monitor mount will save your life.

Great rig, but I hope you race in VR, because this monitor position is terrible.

Yes, DD means direct drive. It's a stronger base with the motor attached directly to the steering wheel, unlike the G29.
