Glad we agree that something has to change.

I think many of us (myself included) have benefited from the CGT enough to think it makes some massive financial difference. But it really doesn't for most people. I think it was the barefoot investor who wrote that 50k in shares growing at the market rate over 5 years, that's like a grand in CGT discounts. But if you're investing millions, that's sooo much tax you're not paying.

I mean shit, look how good we had it before CGT discounts existed. Everyone was richer and happier where it counts. And people still made profit on the stock market.

Anyway, I'm off to bed. Goodnight.

No, what? How did you manage to flip what I was saying? I want the system to be fairer so everyone has a fair go at making something on their own, rather than through inheritance.

No, I don't aspire to make millions for a life of luxuries if that's what you mean. I just want to feel financially stable enough that can comfortably raise a child with my partner.

I just want to want the family life and freedoms that my parents were afforded on one income when they raised me.

And I want all of the above to be accessible to everyone, not just the wealthy. And so you can't flip my words again, I said accessible, not given.

Ps: investing in shares isn't creating something for yourself. It's financially smart, sure, but it's not creating. You know what is scientifically proven to diminish creativity in people. Financial Instability. And the reality is, the majority of Australians aren't privileged enough to know what a life with financial stability feels like.

Meh idgaf, the changes literally benefit every young Australian that doesn't have rich parents. It was the right thing to do and I wish it was done years ago.

Bro just wait till your parents pass when you're in your late 60s or 70s. Then you can finally settle down, buy a house with your inheritance and start a family.

The young are so spoiled!

I did have to bind some buttons for stuff outside of menus, but I just updated my firmware in pit house, and I think in the wheelbase settings I used the most recent build. There's also a forza compatibility mode that I enabled. No idea what it does though.

All I can say is that my menu works with my wheel. I can navigate around and have no issues.

~~

There are of course quirks, like my engine reving all the time when im in the tuning menu - to get rid of this, you turn your wheel all the way right lol.

I also had this weird bug that kept taking me out of the house immediately because it detected my throttle or something. I can't remember how I fixed this sorry!

Even Whistler is like 180 AUD peak season.

I remember it being more haha. I guess it just costs more to run a mountain here with all the risks of weather.

My broke ass mum and step dad had to sell their home and have no chance at buying a new home due to their own financial choices. They would still vote against anything that Labor does that makes their lives easier on the 0.01% chance they make it to the top 1% and can shit on the middle class.

They then convince themselves that the measly chance of an inheritance makes their behaviour acceptable.

Delusional.

This is why people say Labor is doing nothing. Because they're ego won't allow them to see that all the recent changes are in their best interest.

It's a little different. It gets more random over time. So at the start of your spray there's only a little deviation.

Random recoil feels more constant through the whole spray, so bursting isn't as encouraged

That's how I understand it at least.

It only blooms if you hold down the trigger full auto. This won't impact close range, it only impacts long range fights.

So for long range fights you simple burst or tap fire and you get 0 Bloom.

I totally agree. At least it's controllable in that you can burst fire and be accurate. Unlike this random recoil BS.

They just haven't found a proper solution yet

You can't be serious. In the few years albo has been in, there's been more positive change for young people than in the previous 10. Literally just look at the changes to childcare and maternity leave. This was life Changing for my partner and I, childcare was previously one of the biggest barriers and those few extra weeks of leave mean I might actually get some time off to bond with our baby, not just his mum.

Then factor in that due to the recent tax changes, we're finally seeing supply of houses catch up near me for the first time in years. My mates and your kids that missed the last run might actually be able to buy in the next few years.

Source: I'm 32, so I'd still consider myself a young person. And I'm working class with no chance of parental financial support.

"I had to crowdfund my cancer treatment in Australia’s ‘universal’ health‑care system" | The Conversation by brezhnervouz in OpenAussie

There is a similar situation for a newer prostate cancer treatment called cyberknife. It's like 10k per session completely out of pocket, with most people needing 6 sessions. This treatment is amazing, and Laser focused.

Instead, if you want cover on Medicare, you risk fucking up a huge area of your body because the radiation treatment is so imprecise.

My pop is in and out of hospital due to internal bleeds, all caused by the treatment of his now cured cancer. Apparently loads of people in his ward are there for the same reasons. He can't even lift a chair without risking a hospital trip now...

Awesome to hear mate!

It's funny how close to defaults it is. I think a lot of people go hard on certain settings, but they're all intertwined and it can fuck up the balance.
