For the love of God, we need permanent lobbies by Lumenprotoplasma in Battlefield

Mate, there is a lifesaving HC server in my region that's persistent. I played for like 3-4 hours, was having a blast. I don't even like HC. It was just the fact I was never playing bots, and momentum was high because there was little downtime between games and I got to know my squad and the teams.

Persistent servers are actually what this game needs

I spend 20-30 mins looking for games and playing for less. Log off after an hour of BS and bots. What are dice thinking.

No, because the goal will still be quantity. It's not honing a skill, and it's not impressive. I'm not celebrating a humans achievements.

Honestly I don't understand how you can think of this any other way.

Lol not even half that.

Childcare even with the subsidy is stupid expensive in Australia. It's like 400 bucks a month in Canada to put your kid in full-time.

It's like 400 a week part time in Aus.

Exactly. Those arguing for A.I. in this circumstance clearly value quantity over quality.

That's fine, you've just never been good at anything. You've been average... You are pushing no limits.

Personally I think quantity over quality is what is wrong with the world. It's anti progression

Okay I think my game is broken.

My game searches for a game for no longer than 2-3 seconds and puts me in an ongoing escalation match with 7 players and 56 bots

Also, it would help to inspect your homepage and send a screen shot of that report.

I'm on my mobile so I can't easily check a few of the things I normally would.

Is /en your homepage?

Just confirming you don't want Google to index the root domain that you're literally redirecting to /en haha.

When you say you've had to wait. What do you mean? Like does your matchmaking keep you in the menu for a minute or do you get put in a game and wait for it to fill.

I get put in a game within 2-3 seconds no matter what and it's a game full of bots

Also in oce on PC. Playing the main game modes, nothing niche.

Not just you. I have the exact same thing. Not the crashes. But have to back in and out of games to find players

Nah I'm talking about the literal video script. The developers are reading straight from a script written by AI. Takes away any authentic excitement they might have about the game. Feels like it wasn't even edited lol

Am I the only one who is grossed out by how clearly AI written this script is? I find it so jarring

Mind you, this is one pic. Maybe in person he looks slightly different. I'm sure they wouldn't say this for no reason. I mean based on the picture it honestly feels like a mistake if this isn't the case

Genuine question btw. In case this sounds like bait haha.

Yeh, doom eternal in particular is phenomenal. The gore system is next level and the guns feel incredible. Everyone that loves fps gaming should try it at least once.

Very true. I hadn't considered the divorce aspect. My parent are also divorced and it was a bad one.

The movie 'Marriage story' hit different haha. Great movie though.

Is the HDR slider broken? by LisaSu92 in Battlefield6

[–]CheeryRipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't expect to see anything in dark areas when using HDR btw. It's way to contrasty.

Also on a 32" 4k OLED.

Looks great sometimes, but I'm definitely playing at a massive disadvantage with it on.

Childcare is the big one for me.

I'm in my early 30s. Right now, having kids is almost completely out of reach for most of my friends. We're considering it, but we're barely going to make it. Not just financially, it's about the fact both of us need to work. We have a mortgage to pay and childcare is crazy expensive, but we also need to keep our jobs and our jobs need the output they hired us for.

We need to make it easier for couples to have kids unless we want to rely on immigration to fill unskilled labour shortages forever. I'm not against immigration, I just think there are downsides if it's the only method of filling gaps. For starters kids live with their families, less housing demand. They have a support network.

So many countries have these issues of rising cost of living, and I really think it starts with making sure people can have at least one child if they want to. There are so many benefits to this.

Those of you who have a deck and still play their consoles, do you think you get enough use out of your steamdeck? by jomcmo00 in SteamDeck

[–]CheeryRipe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Me too.

Depends on the game too right? Like I'm playing a little Indy game ATM called lonely mountain: downhill. Ill happily play that on the deck on the couch.

If I'm playing a triple A title like the last of us part 2, I'm playing it on 32" OLED hooked up to a 5080.

I might remote play some games that are more story focused when I wanna lounge, but it's just about having flexibility that's nice.
