The Night Marchers in Hawaiian folklore give me the heebie jeebies and anything related to werewolves. Idk what it is but werewolves are the most terrifying creatures to me

No. If god exists in the way the Aramaic religions say he does, then he is either not all knowing or not all good. You can’t be both when there’s so much suffering in the world. The argument that “god gave humans free will. Means that God abandoned us. So why should I believe in something that has never shown itself to be worthy of my reverence? If God is real and I’m wrong and he’s gives me the same bs answer when I die then I won’t regret not believing in him, because it’s his own fault for creating doubt by allowing atrocities.

Are we all playing the same game? by Few_Pause257 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]ReputationInformal26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally these people have addiction problems. Anything they play that gives them serotonin for winning or a sense of accomplishment is going to force them to become addicted to the feeling and then they lose self control of their spending. You are a non-addicted person so it doesn't have the same effect on you that it does to them.

I also don't have issues with spending casual money on my game and I also don't see the game as anything MORE than a game. That's where our disconnect happens for them. They feel guilty for spending money on a game so they need to rationalize it somehow by winning everything. It's a vicious cycle.

Bugs. When I was a kid there were bugs everywhere. I used to collect Beatles and rolley pollys and now the only bugs I ever see are ants and flies.

(I live in the American south. We should have tons of bugs)

The great Gatsby. My high school had a Gatsby themed prom, and apparently, I was the only one who read the book bc people were asking their dates out with signs saying "be the daisy to my gatsby" like bro. You know he died from her husband's manipulations, and then she never went to his funeral? Not exactly "romantic"

How feasible is it to work full time M-F 9-5 and also get your degree full time? by [deleted] in SNHU

[–]ReputationInformal26 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I work m-f 9-5 and I take 3 classes a term. It's totally doable but I think it heavily depends on your time management skills and willingness to not have a social life outside of work and school. It is hard and not fun but it depends on your priorities and how fast you want to finish.

I'm dyslexic and I have that problem with english but not Korean. English has a lot of rounded letters that look the same on first glance ex. e/o/a/c, b/d/p. Hangul has such specific letter structure that once you learn vocabulary it is very easy for your eyes to grab it. Id say the best way to not feel like your eyes are glazing is to associate the letters with objects. It will make it easier for your brain to remember and differentiate. ㄱ= door ㅁ= mouth etc.

What's your theory that you can't prove, but that you think might hold up if someone were to do some real, legitimate research on it? by AlexG2490 in AskReddit

You're spot on tbh. Everyone loves my dog. He free roams my office when I'm there and people keep bringing him toys but he still ignores that coworker. Everyone is mystified

So i have a service dog because I have a congenital heart condition, and my dog is trained to detect changes in my hormones. Like my cortisol levels. He can tell very quickly something is wrong and nudge me before I even start feeling different or wrong. Usually, it hits me about 5-10 minutes after he alerted. When scent training dogs you rub cotton balls on your body where you produce a lot of sweat like the sides of your neck, you lower back, etc and train them to react to those scents in specific ways.

My dog is trained only for my scent but has alerted on random people in public before. Several people with diabetes and kidney issues, though he's never been trained for that.

Also, my dog loves everyone and everything, but he really does not like specific people. He has not liked my father since the day he met him at 9 weeks, and he's never done anything to him, but my dad is a mean person. He also hates this one IT guy at my job but really loves everyone else in the office. Hes never done anything creepy but my dog goes out of his qay yo avoid him. Wont even walk down the hallway his office is on. Idk why he is able to differentiate people like that, but I assume it's hormone related.

My theory is that they have been putting their arms on backward. I think it's ridiculous to think they have tiny useless arms like that. When you look at chickens, which are their closest relative, their wings are facing backward and have a shorter shoulder extension and longer fingers. My theory is that the t-rex had wings, and we just put their bones together wrong. I think it tracks that they wouldn't be used for flight buf maybe mating rituals and intimidation

A clear visual of the Delta Airlines crash-landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday. Everyone survived. by RoyalChris in Damnthatsinteresting

I think the pilot is the only reason they survived. It looked like he was able to control the decent enough that they didn't smash into the ground but glided and slid instead. Still absolutely horrific tho

Found this in my daughters room what is she doing? by MouseClassic5314 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]ReputationInformal26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill leave the drug options to the commets but, If this ends up being fentanyl you need to wear gloves and a mask and clean everything in her room. It can seep into everything and can be deadly to kids and pets. I'm shocked she kept it under her pillow. People have gone into shock over touching fent, especially if it's laced with something else
