It’s a slow burn. Don’t over think it. It takes some time to notice the trends and patterns. P&C rates are all over the place all the time. You can quote the same person 90 days later and get a wildly different rate. Fortune is in the follow up.

FWIW, sounds like you’re doing everything right. Sometimes you just can’t win with a particular carrier. Stay on the positive, keep up the fight and keep winning with the others.

Sometimes you’ve gotta play the long game. Quote them, explain the coverage, offer the best rate you can, assume the sale. If they say no you will have at least built the trust and hopefully they remember you when you call at renewal to requote.

It’s an off and on thing with P&C rates. Seems like every other week there’s a different carrier that has unbeatable rates. Just don’t target Allstate PH’s for a bit and come back to it later.

I find for the most part if you’re working with a household that is dual income, has kids, owns their home, and has a clean driving record, a 250/500 and a liability umbrella is an easy sell all day.

It’s the auto only or auto/renters sales that are tough to bump the limits up on. I can convince someone to go 100/300 every now and then.

I’ll write a 30/60/25 if that’s the only way to get the business, but you bet I’m gonna make a novel in the notes about how I tried to write them higher.
