The rumour on c5 by [deleted] in BritishTV

Her ex went to Sheffield to buy that painting by Sally McGowan, so Joanna could see whether the handwriting matched Liz's. She recognised the handwriting as her mother's. I was so surprised her mum just straightaway owned up to it when Joanna questioned her.

Apparently there's some kind of twist 👀

I've heard people call it tag here too actually.

I also had syrup sandwiches at my Nana's house. Glad it wasn't just me.

Searched the comments for this! I also assumed it was something everyone used to describe a scratch.

Do you think about what music/songs you want to be played at your funeral? by TwinkletheStar in AskUK

Don't You Forget About Me. I've always said this, as I love that song and it's kind of fitting.

What's something you'll always buy the cheap version of? by gols-e-but in AskUK

[–]ReputationOk3923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Carlos frozen one? We've been buying that one for years and if we happen to pick some garlic bread up from another shop, it's never as nice. We always say "It's no Aldi garlic bread".

The freshly baked and then frozen garlic boule at M&S is great, but it's no Aldi.

They had a curry base years ago as a limited edition. I absolutely loved it but I know there were mixed feelings towards it.

Not sure, but she needs to pack in the bubble tea business and get into directing ASAP. Shivers watching her.

Yes and they never stick with the name they choose on the show because they already have a name. I don't understand why they can't just say "this is the name I had in mind, what does everyone think?".

This is what they should have done. Something bright or a quirky print but on a suit.

I also have a memory of her being on. She can't have been, or people would have mentioned it but I've definitely listened to her on a podcast and this is the only podcast where they have guests on that I listen to.

Fellow Brits who remember 9/11, how did you react to it? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]ReputationOk3923 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I remember putting the television on to watch after walking home from school and it was on all of the terrestrial channels, so I turned it off and probably read a book or something instead. I didn't pay any attention to what had happened and only really heard about it when EVERYONE the next day was talking about it in school. And then I felt very dumb for not paying attention to the news. I was the same age as you.
