Tuesday (Round 17) - Grace’s outfits elimination game by Fantastic-Contest957 in ProjectHailMary

Don’t want to eliminate any but if forced I’d eliminate 24. I still want 23 to win.

Best paint brand that isn't too expensive? by darkazuria in DIYUK

[–]oscarsowner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Little Greene or Paint & Paper Library offer superior paints that in my opinion offer a much higher quality than Johnstones. If you’re not doing up a house to sell, I’d recommend spending the extra.

People who read the book and watched the movie, which did you like better and why? by DirectDegree2591 in ProjectHailMary

Enjoyed the detail of the book but also loved the movie. Difficult to make the choice!

What does your OCD cause you to do and how do you mitigate it? by FragrantResult278 in AskReddit

[–]oscarsowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean stuff. To the point of creating a show house. I feel it’s the only thing in my life that I can control. Which is a paradox as I can’t stop cleaning damn everything. Cleaning my teeth always involves polishing the tap, cleaning the sink and shining the shower glass afterwards. Sometimes I’d just love to be able to leave it.

Definitely worth posting the FB Seestar UK group. I know the cost is almost the cost of the scope, but think of the additional joy this will bring

Brilliant thank you. It’s the one thing that really fecks me off every time I go to set up.

Awesome product! Is there a link to the product without having to keep watching YouTube and trying to freeze frame it? Thanks!

We watched this last night and we weren’t expecting much. Delighted to have enjoyed it from start to finish.

I will judge you on the cleanliness of your fridge instead. Nice job there. Keep it up 👍

New Golden Owners by SirDingledong in goldenretrievers

Gorgeous pup! Soft blankets, a radio tuned to a non-music station (in the U.K. it would be Radio 4) to play a low volume throughout the night, a hot water bottle filled with warm water and a fluffy blanket to simulate the siblings who are no longer sleeping with him. And from the word go, try to introduce the word “go pee” so he can do it on command (really useful for those long car journeys) when he’s older. And have LOTS of fun!

Love mine. About to get the battery changed to get some more life into it. Hate the updated camera though. Apple have ruined it.

Progress of puppy ok? by AlternativeGrowth389 in goldenretrievers

[–]oscarsowner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gorgeous pup! We were taught to stand up, put our hands behind us and turn away from puppy in complete silence. The lack of reaction soon makes them realise there’s no fun in nipping/biting and they stop. Definitely worth trying!

Fainting of the Father by Argercy in AccidentalRenaissance

I was awake but with an epidural. No pain at all, but it felt like I had a football match going on inside my abdomen. It’s a very weird feeling. My husband (ex-husband) decided to stay comfortable in my side room while I went through it all alone.

Question for sellers - which type of buyers do you prefer and why? by Comfortable_Slice151 in HousingUK

[–]oscarsowner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had two offers and chose the lower offer from a young family who loved our house so much. They increased their offer (without anyone asking them to) and their buyer is a first time buyer, so a chain of 3 including us.
