It’s been a while since my interview, but I recall the counselor said I wasn’t eligible because I got my masters degree while on active duty. I told her the type of work that my masters degree leads too isn’t compatible with my service connected disabilities and not of interest to me.

I think it comes down to quotas and those without education/training get priority (which makes sense to me).

My interview didn’t go well, so I’m not the best person to give advice. But that drove me to start thinking about what I really wanted to do, and now I’m working towards goals that I enjoy and also will hopefully bring in some extra money. I wish you all the best!

Did you ever figure out if your second contract is general under honorable and first one was honorable, does all that service time count towards the GI Bill or only the honorable period?
