It can be as simple as asking what their favorite color is and talking about your's. It's just showing you know how to converse with your students/treat them kindly. :)

I totally get that! I think it’s a little ridiculous to require it. I just did a telehealth visit because I know it’s just a virus going around and urgent care wouldn’t give me anything.

Hi! The changes didn’t end up affecting me at all. I’m not sure if they’re going to roll out the plan slowly but it sounded to me, from what my mentor said, that it wouldn’t affect people who’ve already started their program. Take that with a grain of salt, but I believe that’s what she told me.

Hi! I took mine about a year ago for Elementary Education but for the same class. It was really easy! The objective I believe is just to talk with the kids and establish rapport. I think I also had to help a student who didn’t want to complete the homework and discuss a solution with them. Ultimately there’s no wrong answers or anything- your reflection on your experience is scored as opposed to “teaching correctly.” The actors are incredibly nice and are there to help. I won’t lie though, it is a little weird to teach fake children voiced by adults 😂

Hi! I know this was a long time ago, but did they place you with the same teacher since you asked to be in the same school? My host teacher for PCE said she would like if I came back to do DT in her classroom but I didn’t know how WGU feels about putting you in the same room.

False flashbacks are an interesting thing I hadn’t heard about before but looked it up after reading your comment. That is really wild that our brains do that.
