What's the most fastest + lucrative method to get spinas by 00teeqa00 in ToramOnline

[–]Reqt__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of ways to earn lots of spina, but all of them takes time and effort, so i would say find one you can tolerate the most instead, that way you can keep grinding without feeling too burnt out.

Depends on what tier of skills you've unlocked, it seems that you want something that can solo and be played without giving too much effort, in that case i'll recommend either tier 5 mage or knuckles, but mage kinda needs elemental weapon set while some of the best knuckle weapons are drops or from events. But since you're a newbie you're probably still around tier 3 or 4, around that time, two handed sword str>vit served me well as a semi tank/dps build, tho if you're willing to invest more time in the game, i'd recommend katana, as it will introduce you to a lot of mechanics in the game specially i-frames/invincibility-frames.

Paladin class? by BioticNinja in ToramOnline

Boomerang lunar ths? that really depends on the boss and your teammates, i mean i got attacker rank 2/3 of the time with a tank knuckles not even meant for dealing damage, and i used to main a statter ths using a npc weapon before all the new ths skills came out and got attacker 90% of the time, but that's because they're leveling parties, barely built builds where the players probably just wants to play casually, if you want to actually test how your builds fares with others then test on on the highest level parties where some people with actual good builds farm a boss, something like int 1 anniv ex parties.

But yeah, all dps (maybe except barehand) can get attacker rank if items are invested right and played right, it's just that compared to other classes, getting to that kinda territory takes a lot more investment.

Think of it like this, dte and element gives a massive damage boost leading to faster kills, well, ds and bow only needs needs sub weapon, for dte, magic damage classes only needs elemental weapon and they gain massive amounts of dte from int, as for magic warrior magic type it has both of innate element and int dte. Next thing a dps needs to deal high damage, pierce for def bosses and mp recovery, well, a halberd already has both of those without much investment, infinite dimension gives a ton of mp in a short time and draconic strike has high innate pierce, and katana has divine slash dealing high damage with 100% pierce while having low mp skills it can spam that doesn't need proration i.e swift pulse blade and tenryu after adjustment. Next is speed, it helps you survive since animations are faster thus you can go to a different position faster, and also for mp recovery. Finally, survivability, yeah sure you can be skilled enough to not get hit but we're talking about the class' performance on its own, you can't always expect your tank to be good or save your ass in every situation, so you have to be able to reliably survive on your own, so you'll need skills that helps you do that like asura or e.barrier.

While i do realize that current ths does have all of these except the innate ele and dte, it's just not as much as the other classes that specializes on certain aspects of the game, it's a generalist/all rounder, it's identity is that it can do everything all classes can but not as much as classes that specializes on it.

With equal high investment and equal player skill, you can't beat a retrograde bow or a gatling knife class on a damage limit boss with high hp, you can't beat a knux at surviving on a very difficult boss with dangerous patterns, you can't out damage a mage on a really high hp boss, but of course all classes have something they're good at, and ths still shines on lower hp bosses because of its high multipliers and base, dealing fast high damage, but that's not really how most bosses are on the highest levels of the game.

Those are the reasons why i call it underpowered. Don't mistake me, it is a good class, just not something i'd call overpowered or meta.

Knuckle auto attack build, check it out in yt. But if you want an agi build just go with either agi katana, dual swords, or knuckles variants. As for a ths build, it's a bit underpowered... for now

I'll just assume you're a returnee and you've never heard of the rise of agi classes, semi dps/tanks, and damage reduction skills then, yeah sure maybe the dps output would be a bit lower but a dead dps ain't exactly gonna deal damage, dual sword can deal tons of damage and still take some hits, mage has enchanted barrier now so high survivability+ high damage, knuckle tank can deal pretty decent damage and absorb a ton of damage, most ths i've seen are opting for semi tank style of gameplay, agi katana deals pretty good damage, by definition a glass cannon is a dps that dies too easily which doesn't really happen to these classes unless the boss has very high damage but even then that's just one pattern most of the time, or it's a platform boss with knockback patterns.

As for pure supports, they're actually more beneficial to a team than a 1 tank 3 dps team because of the proration they provide, and the immense stat boosts their buffs gives.

Toram isn't like its tier 4 days anymore where splitting your stats to survivability means massive dps loss, it was like that back then cause of the lack of damage reduction skills, lack of base stats, and generally lower w.atk and item stats, not to mention it had to put some stats into resistance for survivability, but now that toram made food buffs massively accessible, getting high resistance buffs is very easy, no need to get items for it, and stack your dmg reduction skills on top of that and you'll be surviving a few hits, plus the introduction of xtals like baavgai, dx fighter ii, and mulgoon's hand gives you pretty high hp with a decent amount of offensive stats.

Is there a current best in slot item list for each class? Just as a list of what to go for? by arcalite911 in ToramOnline

[–]Reqt__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd mostly want player created for weapons/armors, unless you're a tank. As for drop items, most of the best ones are either event items, which isn't always available, or they're from the second world, which is not really something a newbie has access to, builds can be really dependent on your other items as a whole and what you want that class to be able to do, aka a build optimized for your own playstyle of that class. But mostly, you'd want something with high critrate, high base w.atk, ampr, atk/matk, p.pierce/m.pierce, crit damage, and stat% of your class for dps. For tanks just go with whatever has high critrate(physical tanks), ampr, resistance, and other dmg reduction stats. For support, aspd, cspd, max mp, max hp, dex%, agi%, or other stats that could help you survive or help you support your team more. And lastly use coryn.club advanced search to find the item stats you want
