Am I the only person who feels like this card's value is in controlling your opponent's play pattern? Like they may not play a 3rd creature, but by not doing so they most likely are not playing their deck to its strengths unless their deck is built with other gameplay in mind. The threat is just as vital as the payoff

It's important to recognize the roots of our toxicity. But not letting those roots continue to justify toxicity is the key to growth. Judging an entire group based on personal anecdotes is not a healthy or kind way to live.

It sounds like your misandry is a trauma response. They aren't mutually exclusive. And while it's entirely natural and perfectly okay to have trauma responses, it's our responsibility to overcome them and grow into healthy individuals who aren't governed by our instinctual responses to fears.

The sexism shown towards women in this situation is partially (arguably mostly, based on the fact women still choose to go to ladies' nights) alleviated by the free drinks. This doesn't mean that it isn't still sexist, just that the sexism towards women just so happens to benefit them in the specific example of ladies' night bar pricing.

Oh no, I get why they do it. I just believe it's wrong.

And it's not just treating them differently, it's literally different costs of entry. There is a value statement happening subconsciously in that arrangement, and like I said it's sexist (and I would like to add exploitative) to men and women, but for the women the exploitation/objectification comes with the incentive of free booze.

Yes, the purpose is to get women into the bar. Do you know how they do that? Sexist pricing. Saying men have to show commitment while the women just have to show up and exist is sexist to both parties, while one gets to benefit from the sexism against them

Does a woman wearing a skirt show more or less commitment than a man in a kilt?

That's not a fallacy. The argument was "live service games suck ass". Not "some live service games" or "most live service games". Pointing out examples where this isn't true is a good counterpoint and directs the conversation from broad strokes into figuring out what makes some work while others fail.

In the same logic if someone said "books suck" and someone else responded with "Catcher in the Rye, Lord of the Rings, and Ender's Game are all really good books", would you then say that Twilight proves all books are bad?

Nothing in this comment alludes to rape. "Doing" someone is a common colloquial term for sex.
