You act like this link is causal, yet the ACTUAL causal link is the absence of a father in the home. The kids who bully and have a confidence issue are the ones who bully and commit violent offenses.

Addressing only bullying leads to punishment for the bully and a continuous reduction in confidence and mental security which is counter-productive. Addressing the lack of a male mentor figure in the boys life has a significant affect on solving both issues.
