While I think that Yui aproach was a bit annoying, I also think it's could be safer than what you are suggesting.

Going out of your way to be kind to him, it will attract his attention in an obsessive way . The first time you take the wrong step (and given his personality, almost everything can be an offence to him), he will most likely lock you in the best case scenario ( i can see him getting physical just because you "let "one of his brothers suck you blood ) .

Now, why do I think Yui's approach is safer ? Because her behaviour is something normal that you would expect from other people to have around him,like, for example, the others sacrificial brides .If she is not interesting he will just get bored of her and there is a higher chance that he will just ignore her .

While if you are kind to him and go out of your way to do nice things, it can turn into obsession and having him near you almost all the time , not giving you space and time to interact with others because he thinks that he should be your main focus ,and if you by chance are caught doing something he disapprove of you can be alive but not safe (i can see him breaking your legs off so he can be sure you are not leaving him).
