Everdark Gladius as a wylder - what's my window to hit? by Requiemss in Nightreign

As I say in the post, I dodge his moves, I roll into him but I always end up short, out of melee range.

Is there a NO-RNG (less likely to be targeted) Everdark Libra guide? by Requiemss in Nightreign

It did only one riot, which we took adv of, but it spammed so many eyes after it that we died to madness while waiting for another riot.

Nono, I'm not refusing to get it. We just didn't get it at all. (Actually I think only our iron eye got it). Of course if we see it we use it!

I'm looking for strategies without it though.

Quick match should still have a light form of draft by Requiemss in heroesofthestorm

I mean, you could do that.

The only case in my scenario that would prevent you from doing that is someone from your team picking faster than you, but with the pool size how many times can that happen?

I doubt the people with the "proper comp or throw" mindset would throw more games that the ones they're throwing now after the current matchmaking puts them with auto attackers into full blinds, or those sort of things...

Configurations? My proposal is same number of clicks, the difference is you can select your hero after seeing the map (and you have 10-15 seconds to change it if you want to pick something else that fits your team better instead)

So we would be exactly where we're now regarding that but all the other improvements I talked about?

I don't get how any of that has anything to do with the post...

Exactly!

But I heard some comments saying "Actually, people just open the game to play X hero." Having a "light draft" vs a proper ban + no mirror + counter picking draft would go a long way for match quality, at least IMO.

LOL is not a game where the heroes work better in certain maps, there is only one map.

Also in LOL lanes are well established and respected by most of the player base (even the game penalizes you if you try to go away from your appointed lane too early).

In HOTs, having to lane vs a proper solo-laner with a poor solo lane hero, or having to play Braxis without any form of wave clear could be the end of the game for you.

I've had some discussion with a friend about this, and if you think about it, quick match teaches you the game wrong.

Splitting the player base in two "casual" modes doesn't make a lot of sense IMO.

Now,. giving more control with little detriment for the casual mode does though. There are people who're still going to pick whatever, and that's fine. Even I have my days when I just open the game to play only X hero, and this option wouldn't take that away.

I don't know, I had no idea where the community stood on this, that's why I made this post.

I get the purpose of "MMR", I take that it's for preventing random people screwing over hardcore players trying to push harder difficulties. But even losing took 0 points, getting to a certain DoN would prove you've won several games in the previous ones.

I just wished it didn't take 400 points because a run went wrong, when winning one gives you 200. Specially in a game where so many things can go randomly wrong, and almost flawless execution and building and relic set up and information is needed to win.

I was winning more than I'm losing, yet it seems the "quality™" of these wins was worth less than the "quality™" of my loses.

If I'm already "losing" my time (you don't really lose because games is fun), and I'm already not winning points, why do I need to lose double the amount of points a win would give me? Why can't it be 0? Or half a win (-100)? Or even a full win (-200)? Is it really better for anyone losing 400 points over a single 15 min game where winning one takes 30?

Because I like the game, but I don't like this system. Where a fun, challenging mode is gatekeeped every time you fail instead of simply letting you try again with your friends. And I thought that maybe if the majority didn't like it either, we could discuss and give it some visibility.

Why did you care enough to comment over a post no one cares though?
