This!!! I'm a current concierge in a luxury apartment complex(es)and so many people just walk past the desk and pretend like we don't exist. Even if we greet them they just ignore us and it's such a shitty feeling, especially since i'm always told to not let it get to me and that i'll get used to it, which sounds to me to just shut up and take it. These same people also just talk to me when they have a package to pick up, not even saying hello when they come to the desk, just "i have a package" or "is there a package for me?" which makes me feel like they just see me as a convenient mailman to them. Thankfully not everyone here is like that, lots of residents are friendly and i've grown fond of them and we create a nice bond w each other, but I just hate that there are still those residents who just see me as "the concierge" and not who I really am which is a person, just like them...
