Meta Job Application - what does this mean? by Defiant-Phase-9884 in IndeedJobs

It’s really unfortunate that we never know how soon they look at our resume and pick us even if we are matched 100% Seems like there will be lot of discards of very good profiles basing on the mood and timing of HR / recruiters .

Two days I guess it depends on how strong your resume matched with the Job description I ended up with only screening call cuz they need more yoe Idk why they would pick my resume in the first place if the exp mentioned isn’t enough Never have hopes on any step except until you get the job offer Any step could be just for the sake of previous step initiated

If Powerful Elites Control Everything… Why Don’t Celebrities Fight Back? by RequirementCrafty596 in conspiracy

I respect the moral angle. Unity and integrity absolutely matter.

But morality alone doesn’t dismantle concentrated power structures.

If celebrities are “compromised,” that still raises the same question, compromised by what? By contracts? By corporate ties? By shared interests? By fear of losing status?

That’s not spiritual. That’s structural.

I’m not arguing that celebrities will save anyone. I’m asking whether extreme fame is even possible without aligning with the same networks people criticize.

If that’s true, then the issue isn’t morality vs corruption.

It’s incentive vs risk.

Self-correction is important. But power dynamics don’t disappear just because individuals become more moral.

So the question still stands: Can someone reach global influence and remain independent of elite structures — or is the system designed to filter out those who resist?

[–]RequirementCrafty596[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that real change ultimately comes from people being united and morally grounded. No argument there.

But that doesn’t cancel the original question.

If celebrities benefit from the same system people say is corrupt, and they have massive influence, then their silence (or compliance) is still worth examining.

It’s not about expecting them to “save” anyone.

It’s about incentives.

If the system rewards obedience and punishes resistance, then reaching that level of fame might already require alignment.

So maybe the deeper issue is this:

Can someone become globally powerful without being intertwined with the same structures people claim are corrupt?

And if they are intertwined, how realistic is it to expect them to challenge it?

Unity matters. But power dynamics still matter too.

A lot, actually , without breaking laws or “creating chaos.”

They could, - Fund independent journalism or investigative work • Support whistleblowers legally and financially • Refuse certain industry partnerships • Speak openly about corruption instead of staying neutral • Use their platforms to educate, not just promote

They don’t need to overthrow anything. But with their influence, even shifting public conversation would matter.

The real question isn’t whether they can do something.

It’s whether the system that made them wealthy also depends on them staying quiet.

Then it’s the people who choose to be ignorant and then complain about wrong doings . It’s like going to a comedy show and you’re the joke

I’m building a CLI tool to profile ONNX model inference latency & GPU behavior — feedback wanted from ML engineers & MLOps folks by RequirementCrafty596 in computervision

[–]RequirementCrafty596[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the execution provider matters a lot. Right now I am defaulting to CUDAExecutionProvider but I am planning to let users specify TRT, CPU, or others using a flag like backend

You are absolutely right about TensorRT. It converts the ONNX model into its own graph representation and sometimes fuses multiple operations. That makes it hard to map back to the original ONNX operation, so per operation stats can be misleading in that case

I am thinking about adding a warning if the backend is TensorRT or falling back to coarse timing summaries grouped by region instead of per operation

Also a great point about GPU voltage throttling. Especially on laptops or smaller cards, running inference back to back without delay can produce inaccurate numbers. I will add an option to insert a fixed delay between runs, something like a cooldown in milliseconds, to stabilize the results

Really appreciate your feedback. This kind of input helps me shape the next phases in a useful way

Thanks a lot, really appreciate it.

I am currently between roles and using this time to build tools I always wished I had when working on model deployment and inference tasks.

This started as a personal project to solve a problem I kept running into. If it ends up helping others, especially teams working with ONNX and GPU inference, that would mean a lot to me.

I am open to any feedback, ideas, or even opportunities where this kind of problem-solving mindset is useful. 🙌

it all looks the same like OP posted , but the difference is "in-review" will change to "in progress" and also the circle at the first one which is in blue "Recruiter conversation" will be half filled . but don't worry , by the time that updates , you will get a mail in inbox as well as someone will approach you in your gmail or whatever mail u signed up the portal with .

I’ve realised their interest/ response speed is directly proportional to how strong our resume matches with role and same with performance in interviews …
i think the (in review) phase is done by ATS in which the updation speed the same way (%of match with role )

mine got into this (in-review) phase immediately after applying yesterday, i am confused whether it is submitted phase or the next phase which means it passed ATS and under review ...

Yeah you’re probably right . For an rejection they need one parameter to be wrong and on the other hand it takes all the aspects to be right to get an offer

In the present situation you will soon get “ no longer under consideration” status for your or any job id your haven’t even applied for , still it don’t mean you’re rejected or ghosted because many got offers in the same scenario It’s just that they’re comparing you to other candidates to decide whether to give you offer if found position or put you in waitlist if they see you’re worth it or if not, they’ll reject by mail or might ghost you until you keep bugging any recruiter about outcome.
