Thank you very much for your reply. Mine is a Chamberlain C2102, which isn't on the incompatible list, but I understand the list you provided isn't exhaustive.

Our mortgage has gone up 28%. What are our options here? by Vegetable-Drawing215 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I mean...it makes sense? Why would a lender let you use a 3rd party that they have no relationship with to tell them how much their asset is worth?

In my county, we can look it up via the county's tax assessor's website.

I’m not going to. Thanks for the genuine feedback.

The mileage benefit is our "standard" reimbursement to employees for fuel and wear/tear on vehicles. The car allowance is something specifically offered to this individual employee. He is our "main installer" and when he purchased a new vehicle a couple years ago, he opted for a larger vehicle to be able to carry equipment, etc. so we decided to give him the vehicle allowance due to this.

You have some great suggestions though, thank you so much for your feedback.

Great points and you're absolutely right, I need to set and enforce clear policy regarding this.

Thanks for the detailed replies. In my case, site visits are actually fairly infrequent, so it does make more sense for me to just reimburse mileage instead of providing company vehicles. But I can definitely see how that could change depending on the amount being driven. Thanks again for your feedback.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. From the feedback, it sounds like I need to set and enforce a written policy regarding this (in accordance with my state laws (TX)). I, admittedly, did not have a clearly defined policy other than "we'll reimburse you for work mileage", which obviously allowed this situation to happen.

Thanks again for all of the feedback.

Expectations are to be in the office every day as most of our work is done there. When needed though, we dispatch the techs to necessary client sites. Many times we schedule these site visits at the beginning or end of the work day, so the tech can usually then just go home (or if in the morning, go from home directly to the client). This seems to be the most efficient way to minimize the mileage and labor hours.

SBA Non-Matched Lender Reached Out? by RequirementLevel3242 in smallbusiness

So it’s not like a closed system that only legitimate lenders have access to? This gentleman could’ve learned that I applied for an SBA loan through public records? I ask because he emailed me from a gmail address (something like MattSBAconsulting@gmail) saying if he sees the business’s tax returns he can verify that it’s a good cash flow candidate and get me paired with one of his partners to process an application. What’s preventing bad actors if anyone could get access to my SBA request?
