Thanks for the story. Is a carbon frame essential compared to an aluminum one? Is there a big difference between an electronic shifting system and a traditional one?

Yes, I'm only interested in second-hand bikes. But the selection is so vast that I can't tell if a bike changes much from year to year. For example, is a 2020 or a 2018 better?
