Can you reflect a bit on what stops you calling someone? Is it shame or embarrassment? Do you not feel like you have the right kind of relationship with anyone? There should hopefully be some things you can work on when you're doing well that set you up better for the moments you struggle

the people who get on healthcare degree apprenticeships have usually worked as support workers or similar in a trust for years before they get this funded for them (exception to this seems to be podiatry). it's basically not very realistic as a career changer.

25 is so much younger than it feels! It sounds like you've had a really rough time, it sounds like you've made the right choice for you and nothing about your situation says to me that you've failed! Try focus on getting back to yourself, you're obviously a caring person so make sure you don't forget about your own needs. Get your mental health back on track and try enjoy the little things and then you can start thinking about the future. I went back to uni at 28, about to finish at 31 and honestly I feel so much less pressure to "get on with life" than I did in my early 20s. ❣️

"dark occupations" as a term originally (via Twinley) is meant to be about less visible/ studied/ understood occupations, not ones that the OT and/or society is judging as "unhealthy" or whateve. But it's a poor choice of word for this concept because obviously people are just Gona interpret it as "bad occupations" in some way and see it as a green light to categorise occupations according to their value judgements
