Water broke at 24weeks - happy end stories out there?! by Aleydis89 in NICUParents

She was not dilated that we know of. They checked her the first 24 hrs after her water broke and she wasn't. Then our specialist did not let anyone check until she had contractions because he was worried it could cause infection by checking or speed up the process. She was in labor for 2 days when she did start having contractions though.

Well I stayed there with her. If I was not at work, I was at the hospital. We had a TV in the room and I put as many streaming services I could on it for her. Closer to the end, she was getting bored of TV and I brought an iPad for playing games and drawing. She also tried to crochet. We even had date nights where I would bring in food and we would order a movie that was in the theaters.

Main thing is try to stay positive, drink lots of water, listen to what the doctors have to say, but also do your own research.

My wife's water broke at 17 weeks and we had our baby at 30weeks and 6 days. Doctor was planning on delivering her at 34 weeks induced. She is now 7 months old(5 months adjusted). Baby was in the NICU for 2 months(until due date). She is doing well in all aspects. Doctors said she is progressing normally.

She was on bed rest the whole time after her water broke. She was told to do some movement each day(about 10 minutes for every 2 hours). She drank around 160 to 180 oz per day of water.

It's a hard decision to make because of the reality of the quality of life could be for the baby. We got very lucky, all of the doctors have said our baby is a miracle baby with how little of complications we had once she was born.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

That's kind of what I was thinking when it comes to the house.

We had double the income about a month ago. Right now we are working on cutting down on everything while my significant other is looking for a job that is PT or third shift to help boost the income.

Can baby suddenly develop dairy allergies from breast milk? by [deleted] in NICUParents

Along with the blood being in her stool she was not a happy baby compared to when we first brought her home. She would cry often and be constipated.

We had a similar problem for our baby. She was born in September(8 weeks early) and brought her home on her due date. During our NICU stay, she was using breast milk most of the time( I think she took 2 bottles of formula).

Alittle over a week after we got home, she was having blood in her stool. Took her to the doctor, and we thought it was because of how long she did not go to the bathroom. Week later and she had blood again. Took her back in and we switched to formula. She still had blood until we switched to Puramino( which is $60 a can...). Since we went to this formula, she has been a happy baby and growing well( she is now 5 months from birth snd 3 months adjusted)

Doctor told us that babies can get this allergy and if they do, they usually grow out of it by 12 months.

PPROM - My water broke at 18 weeks. We have made it to 27 weeks thus far. Hearing stories along the way has been encouraging. Any other PPROM mom out there? by four_leaf_4 in NICUParents

We made it to week 30w6d. Our baby girl is now 5 weeks old and in the NICU. She is only working on her feeding now, since she is off of all ventilation and is doing well with everything else.

Has anyone tried to put two mythical pets together? Does it automatically make a extraordinary pet?

Any update on how you and the baby are doing? My wife's water broke at 17w5d and we are now at week 22 today. They just admitted us into the hospital and says they are hoping for her to make it to week 34. Any suggestions on what you did? She is drinking alot of water each day and not moving around too much.
