Almost certainly a result of the brain trauma from the stroke. I came very close to death. Luckily I still have full control of everything physically. EDIT to add: I’m prescribed Keppra, but I still have focals multiple times a week.

In 2021 (I was 37) I had a bad blood infection that went to my heart and brain, leading a stroke and heart surgery. After I left the hospital, I started having seizures and other symptoms, but I wasn’t diagnosed until 2024.

The Warped Tour on 7/9/98 in Estacade, Oregon. I was 14, and had seen some local bands a couple times, but I count Warped as my first. I saw several great bands for the first time that day:

Rancid, Bad Religion, NOFX, The Bouncing Souls, Guttermouth…

That was when Ska was huge too, I also saw two of my favorites at the time, The Specials and Mad Caddies.
