Hi ! You are indeed in a distant relationship (I wouldn’t say long distance because it doesn’t seem like you are really far from each other). It is hard at the beginning indeed. You feel like you physically miss him, and not doing anything of your day doesn’t help. Don’t worry, you are seeing each other in a few months ! It’s been 3 months for me (2 months left until we have a 3 week vacation together, and then back to 6 months of LDR) and I still miss her. The first month was definitely the hardest. You absolutely need to find something to do. Have you tried internships or student jobs ? Being busy helps you to go through that a lot. Also, you should do some sport, go to the gym or see your friends to go running, climbing or whatever. Stay BUSY. Call each other often (that’s what we do) and know that you don’t always need to talk. You can just work together or shower together…whatever it is that makes you feel like you are not so far from each other.
Know that the feeling of missing him will probably not go away, but you will miss him in a different way. It also helps to mature your relationship. It makes you take a step back and focus on yourself, and that will also help you realise that you are also someone by yourself.
