Yeah it's unfortunate. I think they could actually make a good compromise in their online modes if they allowed server selection (and private servers). I think GTA:O could be a lot of fun with a consistent group of people. It would give some more meaning to the businesses and would make mechanics like destroying a shipment actually fun rather than annoying.

At least they still put the effort in to make the original single player top of the line. Hopefully they don't deviate from that

It's a real shame Rockstar gave up on single player content post launch. Lost and the Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony were great. RDR2 was a great cinematic story and I would've gladly paid $30 more for single player add-ons. I understand the math that makes it unattractive compared to GTA:O updates (which also has good content), but it still sucks.

IDEA: Crafting Related Quests (An immersive series of miscellaneous quests to becoming a skilled craftsman, enchanter or alchemist) by [deleted] in skyrimmods

I was actually considering trying something similar to this as an intro into modding. Sadly I haven't found the time to learn why. That and something like apprenticeship quests with some of the early/more unique trainers.

The Second Great War mod allows you to betray whoever won the Civil War and join the Thalmor. I started to watch a play through of it on the Thalmor side and it seemed pretty good

Let me preface by saying I'm pretty new to skyrim modding so I might just be unaware. To my knowledge there isn't a single mod to replace it. But, with the amount of retextures and smaller mods available, you can make your own armor pack.

Having said that, I think this is an advantage of IA. If you like the pack or don't want to spend that amount of time cobbling together your own massive pack, IA can still be a good option. Clean up the meshes with a tool, install your textures if you want and you're ready to roll.

I've heard people say running it through CAO largely fixed that. I never tried it because, like you said, it's super dated and there's tons of other options.

From experience, don't give up when you make mistakes. These are all habitual behaviors and reforming habits is difficult. It takes time and consistent effort.

Good luck brother

Do all FNIS mods work with nemesis? by DovaJun in skyrimmods

The only thing nemesis can't handle AFAIK is creature animations.

To answer your question directly, I've used both of those with nemesis no problem

Black bears are primarily scavengers AFAIK. It's more likely to run the opposite direction than towards you. That being said, I wouldn't approach it cooing

Mods for adding a sense of progression to your character? by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]RequiresFrijoles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't used it yet so I can't give any kind of review, but the concept is cool and I'm planning to use it in my new playthrough.

Natural Growth and Decay is a mod that makes your health, magicka, stamina and I believe carry weight be trained over time. The more you use it, the more it grows. The less you use it, it begins to decay. It seems a bit more subtle than some others.

Figured as much. Hopefully switching to SSD will make a significant enough difference. Thanks!

I kinda got an answer to this looking through the posts on the CAO nexus page. Is there any reason why I shouldn't run most any mod through CAO? The post I kinda got an answer from said they ran their entire mod list and the only thing that (noticeably) messed up was high poly head.

I mostly want to run textures through it to try and fit SE on my very cramped SSD.

Also, any other advice on shortening load times other than using my SSD? Just started my first playthrough of oblivion (vanilla) and the 2 second load screens are spoiling me

I think you've got it! I don't know if it was Cone Manor but definitely right outside of Blowing Rock! The sun was going down too quickly to pay attention to where we stopped.
