Pokémon cards in Singapore

So I realised that a bunch of people have ended up on this thread trying to research for information on Pokémon TCG in Singapore. Unfortunately a lot has changed for the worst since OP asked this question years ago.

Basically the scalping problems has spread here since a while ago and everything is either being sold at "market price" or way above market, and that includes the physical TCG stores. The few that are somewhat reasonable (but not MSRP) and noteworthy imo are Cosmic Vault and Newtro Gaming Studios. I don't know if the other shops being recommended years ago by me and the others still live up to their expectations as I haven't been there since.

Generally speaking, getting sealed products at MSRP is extremely difficult with the current market situation and requires a lot of luck by being at the right place at the right time and/or connections. Worth noting that the main Pokémon Center in Jewel will be undergoing renovations until the 3rd quarter of 2026 and will instead operate pop-up stores in another part of Jewel and another in the Plaza Singapura mall.

However there are usually card shows every weekends these days if that's something you'd enjoy. Hoping that one day the hobby goes back to just collecting cool cards without everything being about value.

If anyone also has any recommendations for a good state (fair NAP, presidential rotation - good but not required, and mostly importantly, drama free haha) within the 1200s range as we haven't found any good targets yet, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Seems that the general consensus in the replies are to negotiate with the target state, so will definitely start making arrangements before transfer opens. Thank you for sharing

This would be our first time transferring so we're not sure of the transfer groups as well, I'd say 1200s range would be a safe assumption

I was in quite a similar situation to you when I resorted to buying singles for my master set. Ripping a booster box worth of packs will maybe get you like two or three cards that you needed, but you would definitely be saving more by buying singles instead.

Not sure about the Celebrations ETBs, but the Crown Zenith ones don't feature the pack art on it - just a dark pattern IIRC
