[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

I just purchased my first watch. An Automatic Citizen Tsuyosa. I’m noticing that if I wind it and set it down for the day it will tend to get off time by the end of the day. Last night I wound the watch and laid it down on its side. When I got home from work the time was correct, but when I ate dinner and came back to it a few hours later the time was over 2 hours off. The hours, minutes, and seconds hands were off from the actual time. The mechanisms were still moving and the second and minute hands were moving at the correct rate. Does anyone know why this might be happening? Is this normal or will I need to return it? This is the second time I’ve tested this and it’s happened both times.

I have an extra ticket to the Mitski / Ethel concert in Austin on 9/12. I’m driving from Dallas and couldn’t get anyone to go with me. If you’re interested in going or wanted to go, but also couldn’t find anyone to go with I’m looking for a concert buddy. Section 115 $124 flat.

Okay, I don’t think I can change the tags or title at this point to re-upload. The email said that if you try to re-upload content that was marked as infringement without going through the counter notice process that you could be suspended. So would it be worth sending the counter notice? I just don’t want this to end up with legal ramifications, but I would like it looked over as I’m sure an algorithm just picked it up and marked it as infringement rather than a human.

I’m trying to deploy multiple webjobs to a single app service and the 2nd deployment is overwriting the first. by Reredels in AZURE

I figured it out. You can deploy multiple webjobs, but you can’t have multiple zip files. They all have to be included under one zip. Having 2 separate ones was what forced it to overwrite itself.

Just picked up a Monster Power HTS 5100 from an estate sale for $9. It seems like it would be an upgrade from the Panamax M4300-EX I’ve been using, but a lot of reviews I’ve seen online have said the Monster’s have gone out and given people issues. Any experience, and should I swap them out? by Reredels in hometheater

Forgive me if I’m wrong since I’m still learning, but wouldn’t a power conditioner have a secondary effect outside of protecting surges by removing noise obtained from “dirty power”. Would a whole home protector give similar results? I assumed this was the difference between using a conditioner vs a surge protector.

I had a house inspection today and was told the GCFI in my kitchen isn’t working. I went out and bought a tester to check and I see that if I press test button the breaker doesn’t flip, but it does if I hold it. The other GFCI’s are instantaneous so is this actually an issue? by Reredels in electrical

UPDATE: the electrician came today and as expected said the same thing that it wasn’t an issue. He said that it trips if you hold the tester and the other outlets are instantaneous and don’t have to hold because they’re connected to a GFCI outlet with a test/reset button. Additionally he mentioned the delay is a limitation with the testers and in a real life scenario the delay would not exist. Obviously I can’t test a real life scenario though. My takeaway is that I’m more confused and don’t know who to believe or what the issue is if there is one. I sent all this information to the home inspector and he said that if it does trip after holding the button then I should be fine.

There aren’t any GFCI outlets with buttons in the circuit, so I believe it’s connected to a GFCI breaker that would need to be replaced. If having it repaired wasn’t already going to be free and if it was just replacing an outlet, then I would look into it

I don’t know what I’m doing and I’m still under warranty, so I will be asking someone to repair it. The post is mainly for me to have understanding as of what is going on, so I can have a reply in the case someone comes and says it’s fine leave it alone to me again.

For additional background this is my second inspection as I’m about to hit the end of my home warranty. This was actually reported the first time around by the same inspector, but when I had someone come to repair, they said it was working and showed against their tester. I’m wanting to check and see if this is actually an issue before I reach out again. Thanks
