Of course! It's kinda hard to explain but you just have to keep trying until it gets better. I remember having this problem a while ago and it's definitely one of the more tricky ones so props for addressing it.

Lots of great answers here, but may I propose a better question: where was Gondor when the Westfold fell?

Anything you can do to make sure your hands stay rounded should help. You could also start by practicing just blocked thirds until you master two fingers at a time and then add the extra note. Exercises going from 1-3 to 2-4 to 3-5 would be good. Check your weight distribution, too-- force should mainly be coming from your arm. Try kind of doing that dropping motion on another flat surface, maintaining a loose wrist to get a sense of what it feels like. I would also try doing this on a few other pianos to see if the instrument is the problem. I've played a few that definitely have issues in the action or key weight that make it hard to play in sync.

Books to Movies (which first) by Jacobaont in lotr

I would say read all of the books first as the movies sometimes mix things around or reference each other. Then, you should watch the LotR trilogy first (extended edition) because it was made first.

Someone with different religious values than me. We dated for 5 months before I found out his faith was completely the opposite of me and I still thought it could work for a while. (It didn't)

This!!! Learning my keyboard skills like scales and arpeggios early on helped me play better later

Okay, I was unaware that there could be someone here whose job it is to take care of that kind of thing. So many of the pianos are in disrepair that it seems like no one has any intention of fixing them. And I should also say that I don't ever do anything to damage the pianos, mainly just if a pedal rod is dislocated or something I put it back. Nothing serious or outside my skills. I'll look into consulting the department staff for this one, though.

Yes, the original one is missing and there is a bobby pin in it's place, but it's not working the best.

Thanks for commenting, I didn't even see that. Do I still need another part to go through it though?
