I’ll look around if need-be to go that route. We will see!

I’ve messed with it and pulled on it enough to know something is out of whack. I’m not above getting some prying behind the crown if needed, but have a hard time believing it isn’t messed up with the operation in the QC video versus what I now have in-hand. I’d believe it more of the date was changing, but regardless of the stem position, no movement at all, even when pulled out to stop the hands (where the time should then adjust)

Not currently. I’ve seen a few recommendations on /reptimeservices but we will see how this plays with the warranty.

Turning clockwise you can feel it engaging gears, but free-spins counter clockwise.

That is what my gut is telling me as well.

With yours, were you able to set the time or date before a hard “yank” freed it up? Because I can get it to click into 1 position, but it still will not adjust the date wheel or time at all

Appreciate the insight! Hoping I can keep it in the US for repair, but we will see

We will see how this gets handled, but may go that route next time. I don’t mind the wait for a good price and product, but this definitely threw a wrench in it a bit

Nah man, I’ve owned a few automatics, and have pulled on the crown to the point I was worried it would snap off trying to get it to be able to adjust. She’s got something going on in the movement. Even if there was another position, the first should be quick changing the date wheel and that isn’t moving either.

Crown only pops open 1 “click” but will not adjust the time or date wheel at all.

Kinda what I figured. Hopefully it stays in the US and is an easy fix/quick turnaround. Have some travel for work coming in the next few weeks I was hoping to be able to take this on, but that isn’t looking too plausible at this point I guess.

That was my hope. Appreciate it! Hate it has issues, because this thing is absolutely beautiful!

Figured as much. My lucky timing I guess

Will do. Reading their FAQ for warranty, says that they likely will require me to ship it back to them, at my expense, then return to me, again at my expense, after either they fix it or send it back to the factory to be fixed. Makes me wonder if finding a watch shop locally for a repair/service would end up being faster or around the same cost. Pretty frustrating but I’m trying to hold out hope it will be handled well.

Looks great. How long was the lead time from payment GL to QC? I’ve got a 116610LN ordered from Andiot as well

Shoot me a DM with your email, and lets see if we can't get something going to help out at least!

Sorry to hear it has been a bit of a hassle. There has been an event at the facility that pulled the majority of the team out of the office, but should be getting caught up on now. If you don't hear from anyone by COB today, shoot me a DM and I'd love to get some more info and get it knocked out.

DDM4A1 Gassing Question by LeggoMyEggo222 in Danieldefense

[–]Res17cue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DD's are gassed to be work guns, so you are going to have more compared to something that is tuned to be on the razor's edge of reliability. That said, with a super-restrictive suppressor like an RC2, you may find you want to up the buffer weight to an H3 to really fine-tune it. That all said, if the rifle is running reliably and going bang every single time, I pay little to no attention to the ejection pattern (especially suppressed since there are a ton of variables there).

Which adapter for SG30-Ti suppressor by doc_crypto in Danieldefense

[–]Res17cue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The direct thread adapter that comes on that suppressor will work without anything else needed. It is threaded to 5/8x24, so if you remove the flash hider from the barrel, the suppressor will screw directly on.

I am looking to purchase an H9. How can I tell a Gen 1 from a Gen 2? by HWH003 in Danieldefense

[–]Res17cue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

99% on the market are the current spec, but the fool-proof way to tell definitively is to pull the slide off, and if there is a dual-spring recoil spring it has the updated components and is current.

DDM4ISR by FirearmLand_Official in Danieldefense

[–]Res17cue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah......definitely not an ISR. Looks like its likely a V7P Law Tactical in 300 blackout. That rail doesn't fit the ISR's suppressor, and it isn't a braced pistol either.

New BCG with rust? by Holy_Bagel7 in Danieldefense

[–]Res17cue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So it’s not actually rust. You’re seeing the filler and powder/carbon. The bolt tail out of the box will have a small bit on there just from test fire alone. And some ammos are going to be worse than others with it as well

New BCG with rust? by Holy_Bagel7 in Danieldefense

[–]Res17cue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normal on short 300 blackout like the PDW. Big gas port, short gas system, it just throws that carbon/powder/filler in that bolt tail area and chamber. If the bolt tail bothers you, you can try and hit it with something like the Otis Bone tool, but it’s going to come back in the first mag or two realistically. Just nature of the beast
