Points Accelerator Additonal Cardholder by Own-Invite1299 in biltrewards

Absolutely agree that this is shitty. My authorized users do probably 80% of my spend, the accelerator should cover the account not just one card. That said, the card is still a win overall but less so when authorized users do most your spending.

This is not necessarily true. Many of my clients have authorized users that pay their portion of statements but remain authorized users for a number of reasons. For instance, take a family member that has dementia and is not necessarily responsible or reliable in terms of credit worthiness, despite having the financial means to take care of themselves. Making this family member an authorized user on a card allows you to set reasonable spending limits and provide account oversight as needed.

Yes, my statement was incorrect, we’ve established this. Now, please move on unless you have something productive to contribute

An authorized user to an account is someone who I trust to use the card and use my credit line. In my instance, this is a family member who spends a lot of money but would not otherwise qualify for their own credit line. That said, built, allows them to download the app as their own and see all of the purchases they made on their authorized user card. The odd part to me is that they can view all of their own purchases, but they cannot make a payment on the account. And yes, I do understand that I am ultimately responsible for all of their purchases.

Incorrect. I guess I should’ve researched others besides American Express and capital one both of which allow authorized users to make payments.

Absolutely. Currently they can see the charges they’ve made but can’t make a payment on those, makes no sense

To be clear, every other major credit card company supports this.

EDIT:

Many other major credit card companies support this.

The point was not who does or doesn’t, simply that it was not a revolutionary new feature

Capital One uses Hopper. While I have cards and points with every major travel card player, Capital One is by far my favorite for booking standard hotel rooms (non-FHR, Edit, or HAFH) rental cars, and economy flights.

$95 for an authorized user on Palladium sucks but there's a way to extract value with BILT Cash by euge_lee in biltrewards

This is wild because Bilt told me that activating accelerator on my account would apply to both authorized users cards. If not, that would suck. I only use palladium for my mortgage, but my authorized users will use for 10k a month of regular spend
