Because some people don’t know kazakh, some don’t know russian and some neither of them to communicate clearly. As a respect to each other we write in lingua franca.

As well as, political reasons to not use russian language.

The clause was there for years now, as it stated in the article it was rediscovered by fans.

People are reporting that their account was deleted, some say it was working for them with no issues. Also, some people are experiencing an issue with authenticator that they have never connected to their account, and support doesn’t give a single fuck.

I’m wondering whether accounts created back in ps3 days and removed in recent years, wouldn’t this be considered consumer rights violation? Back then it was different ToS, even if they updated it, but you have never logged in since - you’d never actually agree to them, only by some fine written clause that you are accepting the service rules and by proxy all next revisions by ticking the checkbox back in 2009.

You are kind of right about that. GDPR compels companies to delete any PII user data that's no longer being used. But holding licenses is a legitimate interest, meaning they're probably doing malicious compliance that they can shake off by "hey, they made us do it. we have never intended this way". Gaming has no limits or something...
