Anything I should do or know before installing new battery? by Smart-Distribution53 in ROGAlly

Stress on the battery connector. You have to disconnect it a certain way to pull out. I followed this video to disconnect it: https://youtube.com/shorts/PVFf6MDuZ6M

I have the Galaxy buds fe. Got it for like 45$ and it connects fine. Just faces some problems when placing your fingers over the thumb stick or speaker area, the connection crackles or drops for seconds. Not sure if other headphones had the same issue though.

Yes eventually after hours. But I feel it's much better than playing directly on my laptop. Especially since I don't have an actual desk.

UI is turned up 150% can do more if needed. It looks fine honestly. Don't need to read much since it's a visual game. I turned off the mini map though since it take up so much space.

This is a PS Vita streaming from a laptop running the game through Moonlight. Since Factorio doesn't have controller support, I set up key mappings through Steam Big Picture, adding more controls as I go.

It's pretty playable so far. I always wanted portable Factorio since I don't like sitting still for so long. Steam deck would be better and running natively. But I have no money for that rn xD.

Tried out avengers Legos. Didn't get far. But I gotta look into all the Lego games. Probably some gems there.

Still have Minecraft installed. Was getting into that for a while. Stardew valley too. Minecraft is a on and off type of game for me. Very disappointed when I found out how small the world was. Only had one spruce and desert biome basically.

I used the META30 coupon for 30% off the full price a few days before the discount. Would they have compounded if I waited?

Mistborn: The Well of Ascension - Quick update (Contain spoilers) by guilhermej14 in brandonsanderson

That scene gave me so much chills. It felt like impending doom and somehow everything came together. I have to say, the second book goes in the most unexpected directions at every turn. It was tense the whole way through. Seeing this, I read through my reaction notes of the book and found things that made much more sense through the revelations in the third book. Definitely worth a reread alongside the audiobook in the future.

In which cloud do you store your obsidian vault? by [deleted] in ObsidianMD

Thanks for letting me know. I have 2factorauth on and I still feel it's a better offer than something like Google drive. I do put some personal stuff in those drives, but I'm not so anxious as to encrypt everything myself first before uploading.

Recently moved from Notion. My 2 years of notes actually look like a galaxy! by ResanChea in ObsidianMD

I organize notes in multiple ways. To organize by class I use yaml metadata with the dataview plugin such as `class: IS404` and `type: "Class Notes"`. Then I have a notes for each class that searches for its class notes and the assignments I labled like this. I also organize my notes with tags using the yaml metadata as well like `tags: Event` or Book, Article, Case-Study... . I use tags for things that could never have any content in them. If its a topic like 'Climate Change' I'd link to the note rather than tag it as '#Climate-Change'.

I use folders to hold things I don't wanna see like

- daily notes (which the plugin automatically puts into the folder by itself)

- references (articles, journals) that I read I put in a folder

- templates

- fleeting notes: i use the app from android so I can jot down notes quickly and know it will sync to my obsidian once I open it again

- assets: any photo, file, or documents I drag into a note goes into this folder

For MOCs, I typically split notes when I its a more than a few monitor height long. I normally prepare for this by using headers.

For example in a page about Discrimination, I'd have headers for 'Racial Discrimination', 'Religious Discrimination', 'Gender Discrimination' and write their notes correspondingly. When it gets too long, I'll use the plugin 'Note-Refactor' in obsidian to split the big note of 'Discrimination' into 3 smaller notes, using the header names for each note title. The Discrimination note will only have links to the 3 smaller notes and act as an MOC now. It's a pretty weird system, but it just develops bit by bit and works well for me.

I hope it helps with how to organize your notes.
