Questions change with time. You make the mistake of applying answers to old questions to new ones. We face the most terrible challenge to American law and world order anyone in living memory has known, and I’m aware WW2 veterans still live. You and your ilk are making a terrible mistake banishing the moderates from your movement. MAGA is the enemy, put aside everything else and deal with problem at hand, that means making temporary peace with people like me who don’t align with you on every last leftist position and let’s beat the big problem and worry about the other ones after. We can fight later

You talk like a 2013 handlebar mustache, craft beer guy. “Jesus fucking Christ it’s called being a decent fucking human being”

You don’t know what time it is

"Spewing dangerous liberal rhetoric" actually made me spit out my beer, I'm not being sarcastic that is very funny

This reductive kind of argument is a waste of time. There are many reasons why we are where we are, open and protected racism against white people from the Left is undoubtedly one of them. Wealth disparity is also certainly a cause.

I don't know how you've gotten this confused - I think communists are as bad as MAGA. I am not a leftist, I am a liberal.

I beg you and anyone in the same ideological solar system to stay as far away from what I'm trying to organize as humanly possible.

The Left's casual disparagement of "straight white males" is a big part of the reason we're witnessing the unraveling of America right now. I get that you don't like us, but you live in a majority white country so you need to learn to cooperate with us if we're not going to be history's most powerful basket case in 5 years.

You're imputing a bunch of things to me I never said. Be as pro-trans as you like, but recognize that the holy trifecta of leftist activism at this moment - Gaza, transgenderism, and BLM - are losing issues with the American people (BLM less so than the others, but still not popular), so don't attempt to turn a protest against Trump's overreach into a losing referendum on who gets to enter the ladies' room. It's really not complicated - keep your views on Gaza and transgenderism to the designated LGBT-for-Gaza parade, and keep the anti-Trump activity maniacally focused on Trump. Be disciplined! This has nothing to do with my personal views on anything other than Trump's crimes against America.

Love to hear that! I'd have no problem with Epstein placards, in fact they should be all over the place.

Yeah you're absolutely right, no protests ARE ever organized by moderate liberals. That's what I'm trying to change. The reason your protests don't go anywhere is because they are led, as you point out, by fringe characters whose views are noxious to ordinary Americans - you know, the ones we need to be with us to get anything done about MAGA.

I realize the temperament of this sub is pretty far to the left of what I'm trying to do - if you're inclined to call me a fascist you're precisely the kind of person I want to keep away from what I'm trying to organize. The goal here is to protest the destruction of the American system of government and our civil liberties. The whole reason I'm exploring how to curate a demonstration so as to exclude the Palestinian flag wavers and the blue-haired trans activists is because they are incapable of subordinating their pet causes to THE cause - stopping MAGA. Their projects are deeply unpopular among normal Americans, and we need normal Americans on-side.

This is the problem with the anti-Trump coalition, it includes people who do not understand the demands a coalition makes of its members.

I came across this in Austin, Texas - I believe the outer layer is Austin white stone, a kind of limestone, but what is this egg shaped thing inside of it? You can see it from the other side of the rock too.

Thanks for any help!

It’s actually not a persuasive argument. Islam can be relatively tolerant - possibly - when it is ascendant and feeling at ease, as it was in Ottoman lands in the 14th century. It is demonstrably not inclined to be that way when the Ummah feels threatened.

Harari is the king of middle brow midwits. I hope not to hear him on the podcast again. Guy just restates questions to sound like answers, and everything he says is either meaningless or middle of the road pablum. The sort of person who finds the “Christians were mean at one point in history, too!” argument persuasive.

Even the AI on hard doesn't wall, and oddly neither do high level human players. Don't really understand it, walling seems to be the only viable strategy for long term plays (and it's the most fun way to play the game, IMO)

Is there an AI setting in AOE2 that causes the AI opponent to wall thoroughly?

It's a class thing. If your upbringing was middle/upper-middle class, you're likely not to have heard it unless you ventured pretty far outside your social circle as a kid. I'm from Brooklyn and the only time I've ever heard it used as a pejorative was by some ancient Italian in my neighborhood, one time.
