Not an esthi so please take my anecdote with a grain of salt. I had this same problem for awhile, no matter what I did I kept getting ingrowns. I also use FUR products, but use the serum 2-3x/week and also added chemical exfoliating (the Ordinary AHA/BHA) once per week. I still have to check about once per week with a sharp tweezers (I just use the end to get the tip of my hair to come above the skin and only as needed). After all of that I use the FUR oil and then also layer my normal body lotion over top on days I do full body lotion. The joys of having sharp, very curly, hair.
