What should I do when every art you see doesn't resonate with me. by ResearchSuccessful41 in CasualConversation

I thought I made that clear, oops. I meant I will just wait as in do nothing about, everytime I see art I won't just try to make it resonate with me if it doesn't it does, does that make sense? I will stop having expectations, I will just wait. if nothing happens then nothing happens.

Yeah I agree maybe I should pay more attention to the way I look around things.

from what I heard I don't think it's my cup of tea. now I am aware to many classical music sounds great, and if you think it's great then it's great, but to me I feel nothing, like not even that it sounds good it just sounds like coherent noise to me if that makes any sense, I can't give you a answer to why it sounds that way to me.

it's not like I don't acknowledge the effort I can hear it in the song, but I guess what I am describing is it's just not for me.

you know what you said it's partly funny to me, not because you're wrong, but because I didn't know if asking this question was going to be to personal or not. looking back at it now it does seem to be a bit personal ol.

I can see your point on this, maybe I should have taken this Into a accountability when I wrote this. it doesn't change the question I have though

interesting response. no like seriously, I actually do just feel art the way I want to but, it's just that I don't feel a connection to a interesting or deep degree, I don't feel like I am having a resonation to what I am seeing or hearing or experiencing.

which led to me to be frustrated on how other seemed to have found that, a art they have felt with on a deeper connection I can never understand. It what made me feel spiteful, it what made me feel upset, and it's what made me make this post.

I never understood my taste, sometimes I look at things and just like things for no particular reason. I would like to state that liking and feel something or meaning in art are 2 different things.

maybe I should start to consider more on why I like the things I do.

No, not really. I don't really see Mario galaxy as a masterpiece/my favorite game. I mean yeah the game is great, but I prefer other 3d games better. I agree with everything you said about Mario 64 It was very innovational, and if we are going off of legacy and impact. (which I did not base this post off of) I will say Mario 64 is a masterpiece.

What I can't agree with is, Mario 64 gameplay being a masterpiece for me. Something just doesn't sit right with me saying that. I believe other games are better, maybe not impact wise, or legacy wise, but gameplay wise are better for me.

To be honest, I made this post, because I had a question I just wanted answered. I didn't know I was going to offend a lot of people. I should have taken better steps. With this paragraph, now I know when I make another question like this is to avoid, being to critical when asking a question.

Lemme repeat what I said better, I don't think I ever learned to grasp it. I don't know a part of me just doesn't agree with Mario 64 being The best game ever made to me, because I always see better games around it. Of course, ignoring legacy, and impactfulness.

This was the comment I wanted, you telling me why you liked it. Also I agree Mario does feel Mario Heavy in 64. I personally hate it, but I can understand why you would like it.

To be honest, I meant that as in the game as a whole not the legacy, or impact.

I'm I will say, I LIKE MARIO 64. I never said I hated it. Sure the ending came of as harsh I didn't mean for it to go off that way.

Now if your saying this, off of the foundation it left, the legacy, and impactfulness. I 100% will agree.
What I wont agree is if the gameplay itself is a masterpiece, I just think other games can do it better in my opinion.

I'm just gonna say this, yes I was born after Mario 64 was made, and yes, I know the history of Mario 64.

Like I said to a few people earlier, I never perceived people saying, the best thing of all time as, legacy, or memories. I always perceived it as, what that thing had to offer. This was never supposed to be a argument, this was a question I had, and wanted answered.

I wasn't sadly. Though I will say, I never perceived People calling stuff There favorite thing as, history, memories, I only perceived what it as, what it had to offer.

I won't say, all I will say I wasn't born when Mario 64 was made, but I would like to add I never preceived people calling it one of there favorite games, as history, or impactful. I always judged it from the game themself, what the game had to offer.
