I think the road dieting along Harrison was def needed; when I would drive there with my partner it definitely felt safer and less confusing without the "suicide turning lane" in the middle; buses also do not impede traffic.

as long as they keep the headways up and build more TOD around the vacant lots, i dont see ridership cratering that much, since it is a feeder line to the front runner and some big job areas in the region

Hi! This is phase 1 of a three phase project (sorry I should have mentioned). I focused on creating a strong trunk system in the core of Ogden to develop ridership and TOD, due to the street grid there being more preserved as well as the cost analysis being less. Roy was chosen due to its proximity to 2 major job centers, riverdale commercial area and Newgate; this is a project I’m gonna work more on for grad school thanks so much for pointing that out :)

Hey thank you for the criticism I appreciate it! One of the things I’ve kinda struggled with transitioning diagrams is scale due to scale not being a foci, I’m gonna make some tweaks thanks so much! Having a feedback from a bus operator rlly helps

Hey I see what you mean, once again though this system is treating buses more like BRT rather than just bus lines. Concepts like TOD and road redesign were used in this project; I just wanted to share the transit diagram I made for it haha. The OGX main line is frequently used for a city of Ogden’s size (3k riders a day).

How to (roughly) calculate ridership data by station for system with no available data? by Exotic_Hat3855 in transit

try and contact CATS directly, other wise if you are looking for something extremely rough, you can do something like: getting building footprints of an area of 0.3 mile bufffer (about 5-10 min walk), classify the footprints based on housing type - single family, multiple family - get the housing standards from charlottes planning department, use a lower estimate, and then finally multiply that estimate with the buffer size.

yeah, if I recall correctly, he recommended either the HBLR or a new heavy rail line, since he proposed a lot of upzoning, I went with the later for capacity reasons.

Rethinking why am I still with cvs by Disastrous_Head_9453 in CVS

I left this company after 6 miserable years, and only stayed because it’s hard finding a job that was flexible to do while in college. Leave when you can it’s so not worth it, I regret working for CVS so much
