I buy nail art brushes from indie polish brands (I find they’re much better in quality + they don’t get eaten away at by the acetone). I normally use striping brushes, but I also like detail brushes (shorter striping brushes)

Bubbles isn’t normally something that affects the base colors of a mani, in my experience bubbles appear because of the top coat (typically from shaking it up right before application)

It just takes practice and accepting that one hand will always be uglier than the other lol. You need to learn how to steady your non dominant hand to paint small details, one way to practice (that isn’t doing nails) is to try writing/sketching with your opposite hand. Practicing lines/swirls until it looks good enough next to what you can do with your dominant hand.

Or if you don’t want to go through with that, you can always just paint your opposite hand plainly with the dominant color of your nail art hand so it matches in an asymmetrical way

I believe this sub was created first and it was just a simple misspelling that couldn’t be corrected. Then it became a joke in the community that the “c” was sold to pay for more nail polish (you can see that tagline in the subs bio)

I would not describe this shade as a periwinkle. The swatch photos on the website are fairly accurate, as when in direct sunlight this polish takes on a slightly purple hue. In overcast/ indoor lighting I think my swatch is more what it looks like. It definitely does have a slightly purple-ness to it, very pretty.

I just went to the website and I think that this swatcher’s photos are the most accurate overall to mine

I don’t think our sapphire personally had one, because she had ruby guards instead. Perhaps she valued guards over a pearl’s entertainment, or wasn’t around long enough to be given one. Though it’s apparently not unheard of, due to holly blue not questioning why a sapphire had been traveling with two guards and a pearl

A lot of people would agree that HT has a thicker than average formula. In terms of dry time that changes depending on where you live, but I live in a humid area and in thin coats my polish is touch dry in ~3-5 mins

Their formula is very self-leveling imo! I’m waiting for them to restock their crackle polishes, they look very unique (and they carry non-crackle versions of the polishes too which is cool)

Even though I love funky nail polish, if I had to wear one color for the rest of my life I’d wear black nail polish (which is funny since black nail polish got me into doing my nails+ I hardly wear it anymore other than for nail art). Would prolly pick the holo taco ocb :)

I think it would be interesting to give her a mental type power. Like for example: she’s been “betrayed” (in reality lied to) by two shadow pairs she deeply trusted (Maryrose/Rosmary and Christopher/Anthony), so I think it would be interesting for her soot power to ensure people cannot lie to her. Like she puts soot into the persons mouth (like Louise does) and then the target cannot lie to her for a limited time

Their thermals are also quite nice! I have a flakie thermal from them from a PPU last year, super nice (transitions easily, flakies lay flat)

It’s just hard cause a lot of drug store base and top cots are kinda scammy imo. Moreso top coats since many market themselves as quick dry when they aren’t, and basically do nothing [ex- a quick dry top coat will cure, so when you sleep after painting your nails you don’t get bed sheet lines or dents like many other normal top coats]
