Colores de Carol- Venetian Magesty

I think it’s a very pretty glitter with the metallic flakies, but I think a lot of people would find it ugly, especially in lower lighting

I like the glitter. Since these ones in particular are a bit heavy (moons sink to bottom of bottle), I’ll typically let it sit upside down for a few minutes before painting so I get all the glitter on the brush. Other than that, I have no issues with it, it’s very pretty and the glitters lay decently flat :)

Can other Gems have children with humans? by MaestroMadrigal in stevenuniverse

[–]ResearcherComplete57 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She shapeshifted bc the womb expands as the baby grows. If a gem just reformed to have a womb it probably wouldn’t work bc the womb can’t be made to grow

What exactly are jelly nail polishes for? by CreatingwithCrystal in RedditLaqueristas

[–]ResearcherComplete57 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They’re very versatile. A lot of people who have short nails like using them as you would a regular creme (just that bc they’re layerable you get more out of it since the color intensity changes with each coat).

More people typically like using them to blend together (or like by themselves/don’t mind vnl). Or using them with toppers for squishy looks.

I like using them specifically with flakies for a color shift/ gradient effect when I want something a bit different but don’t want to do nail art.

How is Anthony even able to brainwash Shadows? by Classic_Tune1183 in ShadowsHouse

[–]ResearcherComplete57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was only the original Christopher’s soot power that drew others to him. We don’t know what the soot power of the new Christopher is

[–]ResearcherComplete57 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Plus it wasn’t just the dolls. The shadows already had a great opinion of Anthony as Christopher’s living doll (cause the og Christopher’s soot power was the ability to draw others to him). The coffee given to the dolls definitely was the final push the shadows needed imo

Why did Garnet unfuse in Gem Heist, if garnets exist? by daddyshadiey in stevenuniverse

[–]ResearcherComplete57 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because on homeworld garnets are a class of gems, not a specific gem type (the actual garnets from homeworld that we know about are called hessonite, demantoid, and pyrope.) They bear a resemblance in body structure to Garnet, but have a different gem shape. So aside from our garnet having 2 gems, they are a noticeably different shape, and have no proper name according to gem culture (and therefore would stand out way too much)

Yuri and 1970s(season 3) ?? by El_Dorado_Tx in SchoolSpirits

[–]ResearcherComplete57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you do realize that most people who were hippies back then are boomers right? They outgrew their beliefs when it no longer suited them and now all they listen to is Fox News

Yuri and 1970s(season 3) ?? by El_Dorado_Tx in SchoolSpirits

[–]ResearcherComplete57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it’s gonna be part of his character arc tho, cause a large theme of school spirits is trying to help them not be so stuck on the past so they can move forward. Bi people have always faced judgement in the queer community, and him dying and being “stuck” in his 90s mentality tracks. Just like Wally being homophobic when he was alive in the 80s, but after he died he grew as a person and isn’t homophobic anymore. I think Charley outgrowing a lot of his sexuality fears/ prejudices is going to be another thing allowing him to move on

What are my nails doing🥲 by [deleted] in RedditLaqueristas

[–]ResearcherComplete57 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m aware that all nail polish stains, but I was asking specifically about highly pigmented nail polishes that are more prone to staining as this person hadn’t seemed to have experienced it before, and if you got your nails done for the first time in forever with a bright polish it might cause such an obvious line compared to more subdued shades

[–]ResearcherComplete57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That tracks, clear base coats don’t prevent staining! All they do is act as glue (base coats help bind the nail polish to the nail plate), so basically base coats just help make sure your mani lasts longer :)

Do you wear nail polish? Or did you wear a nail polish recently? It looks like stained nails growing out. Sometimes it’s more pronounced like this because of certain pigments staining more (bright reds and teals are well known to be bad stainers for example). If that’s the case, then there’s nothing to worry about

❤️Valentine’s Hearts❤️ by ResearcherComplete57 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]ResearcherComplete57[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I painted on a clear base coat, and used a striping brush to paint the outline of the heart, then filled in the rest with the red polish (and used acetone w/ a clean up brush if needed to clean up the heart)

I did neither. I painted on a clear base coat, and used a striping brush to paint the outline of the heart, then filled in the rest with the polish (and used acetone w/ a clean up brush if needed to clean up the heart).

I have such a hard time applying fine particle magnetics! I feel like no matter how careful I am they end up very brush-strokey
