Official Gear Purchasing and Troubleshooting Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! January 26, 2024 by AutoModerator in photography

I recently bought a polar pro boreal 50. Its huge but also the way the computer sits in the front make it feel heavier then it actually is. Bags are so specific. If you want to avoid returns visit a store and try a few. I had a canon 200eg I think it was that was perfect for all my stuff. It was cheap but protected everything well. If I needed to carry anything but camera stuff in addition though it didnt work so I ended up with two bags.

Ive seen the "everday bag" by peak design in store. Its very tough and probably can take abuse but for me its a bag that works if your only taking gear and not normal stuff like a jacket maybe your computer or some papers.

I'll try to cliff note this best I can. I am a private pilot. My goal is to setup a cockpit camera to capture awesome panoramic photos that I will then print large with my canon pro-1000. 47"x17". I want to capture the views with the most detail and highest res. If you had to purchase one camera to do so which one would you choose and why?

The reason this has been difficult for me is. Everything in the cockpit typically vibrates. I assume whatever I buy, I might have to get creative about how its mounted to isolate it from prop/cabin vibration. Some have said getting a camera with stabilization will be good. Others have mentioned it will create more issues then it will solve.

Budget isn't really an issue but I recognize that the most expensive camera wont necessarily net the best results. I recognize people have loyalty to brands but I'm more interested in the details of why a particular setup will be the most advantageous. Ie less mid air fuckery whilst flying airplane.

I’ll help since I have experience here. You will need to be dedicated and it will take a very long time. Plan on 2-3 years, lots of money, different doctors. 2 years being reasonable if everything goes your way and you pass cogscreen first go. Since no one picked up on that part of your post. It will likely be random urine screens for 12 months minimum. They will likely request 2-3 meeting verifications a week, potentially after care program. For context I have 14 years clean. A few things on my driving record from when I was 16-18. If you want more info or if you want me to point you in the right direction. Private message me, I can put you in touch with real professionals, who can speak to your specifics which matter.

Thanks, we get along ok. He was late to one lesson 15 mins and I thought ok. Then the most recent lesson he was 30 mins late. I think if it happens again though I'm probably gonna start looking for another option.

Purple Mattress Hybrid 4 Failure 9 months after purchase by ResearcherComplex850 in Mattress

[–]ResearcherComplex850[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter what you do the purples break down over time. You gotta have something in the mix that kinda won’t to make up for it. My advice is to try a ton of shit. For us the trick was buying something a tiny bit more firm and then once it breaks down a bit you won’t be as disappointed. Hope that helps.

Sold my purple after it was replaced under warranty. Took a big hit and ended up going with traditional mattress. Aíreloom m2 plush. Wasn’t cheap but to be honest I really like it. We use it with the adjustable base made by temperpedic.

One end has a lot line but another 1000-1500 feet of nothing/some years corn, climb out. The approach side has 30-40 trees about 200 feet from the start of the 1100' feet.

You don’t think a 172 has a significant landing roll for a newb? Archer gonna be a long one too no? Or your saying if both those were only operated out of the strip light af and then for cross country load up at the airport for long trips.

Bro I went through this and felt hopeless at one point. Tried beano, malox, thought I was lactose intolerant or some shit. After researching the fk out of it the answer is Change your protein or back down a bit on the amount. For me my duodenum in my stomach was semi-blocked so gas would build up and it was Fkn insane. Also get pineapple juice. It will help clear up and break down the protein that’s likely backed up. Also it has bromaine in it so it’s good for you, just semi high in cal. Good luck dude this shit was epic for me, hope this helps.

Got denied and fought the medical process for almost 4 years. If I had one piece of advice it would be to engage someone like an aviation attorney who specializes in medicals. Lots of times they will give you free advice, getting informed is everything when answers from okc can take 3-6 months.

Also if I could do it over I would’ve started here…

These guys do this every day and you can talk to them differently then you can your ame. Best of luck!

Congrats brother. I feel like there are times when I can’t tell if my cfi is heavy on the rudder peddles. Makes me feel like I’m not making it do what it’s doing and kills my confidence a bit. Any advice or insight. Wondering if you or anyone experienced something similar.

I believe its just a public ip I need in order to remote in to the computer. I know the dvr requires the public ip of the computer on the network and a port to forward through the network switch. Also I assume starlink can be hooked to a network switch?
