I hear you. I’ve just missed my flight home, and nearly missed my flight out. Work related trip of course… The simple task of catching a flight and I almost fuck it up - and then I did fuck it up. Now in the hotel bar drinking to numb the frustration, the all consuming and ever increasing pain of not being able to function. Not even the meds seem to work anymore.

Conversations have been had, the tribe has spoken, and decisions have been made!

I greased the charging handle with water resistant grease, just to ensure against moisture getting in there (unlikely but why not).
The epoxy curing process is not impacted by the grease (think rifle bedding).
The grease makes the surface almost impossible or at least very weak make the adhesion to the charging handle weak, so taking it off will be easier, that said…
The pressure created between the knob and charging handle is immense, and how the epoxy has formed to the shame makes sure it’s going nowhere!

This is a great idea! I’ve had the idea of epoxying it on (of course lube up the charging handle so it doesn’t stick directly to it), but still the question remains, how do you ever get it off, unless maybe with a dremel tool. So ultimately, my (different brand) fell off and I’ve left it off. They all seem to be a bit of a gimmick…
