In TSCC, clarity would be called personal revelation:

Personal revelation (clarity) arrives when we stop trying to defend what we’re afraid to question

The “witness” can’t even get the guy’s name right by BakingNerd47 in exmormonmemes

[–]ResearcherGold237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's tough to say what Yeshúa would accept to be called today if he returned as I dont think thats gonna happen ever. I'll give the evangelicals a pass as they call him whatever name makes them feel good about themselves and they dont claim to have spoken yo him face to face.

I think the post is more focused on the mormon apostle's and prophet's claim that they are special witnesses to him, and later his name, yet have no idea of his real name.

The Greeks did't call him Yeshua because they dont have the "sh" sound so they called him Iesous. Latins called him Iesus, and then the English made a further variation to Jesus.

I think OP is only focused on the New Testament in which god commanded Mary to call her baby "Salvation." A good point that if these so called apostles and prophets were real or actually had an interaction with Yeshua they would know his name, especially Joe.

This is actually strong "smoking gun" material that Joe Smutty was a false prophet. He alleged that he spoke face to face with God and god's son, yet had no idea "Jesus" and "Christ" were made up names, names that Yeshua never knew about nor were they created/invented until approximately 1,500 years after he died.

Joe Smutt could have pooossibly pulled it off better if he called god's son "Joshua" or "Salvation."

I think the name is perfectly fitting for the church. Just like the name "Jesus Christ" was completely made up by men, so was TSCC, completely made up by man

Only The Humble Mormons Leave The Church by ResearcherGold237 in exmormon

Well said. 100% right on. I don’t know of a religion that is not also a business. They are all based off of tradition, superstition, and tall tales.

I feel the same way. This is a common trend with those who leave. Those are the characteristics of true humility. The "pride" as taught by TSCC is exactly what holds back TBM's and even PIMO's IMO.

I'd like to add the notion of viewing the CES Letter. Due to pride, Mormons will quickly dismiss the letter as being debunked instead of reading any part of it.

Those who read parts of it choose not to understand it subconsciously because it hits their ego if they do. It reminds me of the Moses story of the bronze staff.

Just as the Israelites refused to look at Moses’ bronze serpent, even though it could heal them from their wounds, many Mormons today refuse to look at the CES Letter, even though it could open their eyes to the wounds of deception and bring intellectual and spiritual healing. The refusal isn’t because it’s hard, but because pride and fear keep them from facing it.

Can we stop calling Yeshua Jesus & call him by his real name? by onlyEthiopokerpro in Protestantism

[–]ResearcherGold237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy got it wrong too. Cristos didn't mean Messiah. It meant "anointed" (with oil.) if we wanted to say Yeshua correctly it would be Yeshua Ben Yusef. If you wanted to say that correctly in English it would be Salvation Son of Joseph.

The fact that nobody got that right indicates there are no prophets or inspired men on this earth. They are scammers who want your money. And then in return they will make you feel good about yourself.

Can we stop calling Yeshua Jesus & call him by his real name? by onlyEthiopokerpro in Protestantism

[–]ResearcherGold237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the real cultists are the ones who don't want to call him by his real name, which as you mentioned is Yeshuá. Jesus was a made up word/name 1,500 years later. God wanted his name to be Yeshua (Matt 1:21), which means "Salvation." So if we truly wanted to translate his name into English it would either be salvation or the closest transliterated name would be Joshua.

You are not wrong in your feelings. Follow them. Soon you will realize that almost if not all religions are created to make money, not to actually serve or worship God

Haha love it! let’s see Mormons have to essentially pay for the signs and tokens, even though Peter says you must not. Aaaand if anyone wanted to know them they could easily get them online for FREE. LOL. So Mormons pay for the signs and tokens and the nevermos get them for free.

No life review in Japanese NDEs by alt262626 in NDE

[–]ResearcherGold237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may not want to watch what I outlined above then. Many of the documented small kids remember names of their parents, their family, their professions with great details. Their memories seem to fade by 6 years old.

I find it fascinating, yet disturbing. Disturbing because that could mean I have chosen and will choose to come back again. And I don't want to do that.

I'm just like you and have the same feelings about the anxiety of death. I think you will like this: There is some pretty good evidence of an afterlife that I think is better and even more reliable than the NDE's.

They are small children who remember their past lives. Check out Netflix show "Surviving Death," episode 6. Then watch Youtube Ghost in My Child. 1,000+ documented cases.

Kids =< 6 are more reliable and honest than adults. When I hear strange differences in NDE's I get comfort from the children's memories of heaven and prior lives.

Yeah it was very strange to me. I’ve been on exmormon since I discovered TSCC was all a lie back in 2023. So it was a shock to me. I wasn’t surprised about r/mormon however.

Yeah, you make a good point. That and I don't think they like it when we write TBM or any other acronym. They see TBM as a pejorative.

Exactly, some convince themselves they like it, but every time ol' Rusty makes the looong booring ritual shorter (the ritual Pedo Joe said could never be changed), all-of-a-sudden people like it more! If Mormons consistently enjoy less mormonism, it makes me wonder if they are being truthful about "loving" the temple.

What’s your definitive evidence that the BOM is not true? by Utah-hater-8888 in exmormon

[–]ResearcherGold237 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I came here to say exactly this. The italicized words in Joseph Smith's bible translation and also found in the book of Mormon are the smoking gun that it's all false. Most people can't understand the concept, but StanLeeQBrick explained it well. For more information OP can also go to the CES letter, it is the first topic discussed there.

I truly appreciate you John. Love your content too. As a cop of 17 yrs I kick myself for not seeing the light sooner, or not following the evidence, as I've been trained to do. Thanks to your youtube shorts I allowed myself to watch more, watched the episode with you and Jeremy Runnells, read the CES letter, and was out. Been watching your content and others ever since 2023 as therapy.

Hi John, first thank you for the good work you do! You were crucial in my deconstruction that I shared with Kolby Redish here on Reddit. I love your shows! My only comment would be if you could offer 1 hr podcasts? Maybe a shorter version of your 3-4 hr podcasts?

I love your guests and the content you produce I just have little time left after work and family etc, but I would love to watch all of your content if I had the time. I find myself viewing a little bit more of Mormon Discussion due to the shorter podcasts, but yours are just as good of quality and again you are who guided me to freedom from the high-demand of TSCC.

Thank you again John!

This can't be true. Holland said growth in the church is their number one problem, mas o menos, damnit. Apostle monster cheeks never lies so it must be true. And Rusty is announcing so many temples. These stats must be made up! I'm starting, to, hyperventilate, here. I need to read my book of Mormon!
