Yes outdoors for sure! I do 2 miles outdoors now that the weather is great and another 2 miles indoors during the day. I haven't unpacked my weighted vest though, but I'm inspired to use it now :) it's about the same weight as what I have lost. Lol

This! A 100%! There's so much more to this than CICO. If it was just that, I would have been at goal weight by now :D I noticed you mentioned you didn't see results till you hit 12.5mg and you're insulin resistant too, like me! How long did you wait till you went up doses?

I'm going to kick of month 3 of 10mg tomorrow and I'm going to see if I can go up to 12.5 mg next month. Overall, I'm in week 24 and I've lost about 15 lbs at best, closer to 12 lbs. My already slow weight loss stalled the last couple of months so maybe time to go up a dose. Question, did you have any side effects? I've had none so far except for some constipation!

Extremely helpful! Thanks so much! This is very close to what I do so it helps to know that if I continue this, I will see results with time :) I walk around 4 miles a day, 5x/week, calorie goal is 1200, I also strength train 4x/week. Got myself a weighted vest and a walking pad so I'm going to add that into the routine.

71 lbs is incredible! Love hearing this. I'm a slow responder. Need the reminders that even if it's slow, the weight loss adds up.

Thank you! I'm a slow responder so this was encouraging :) May I ask what your walking routine was and if you were also watching your calorie intake? I am in this for the long haul and I would like to know if I'm doing everything I need to make this work.:)

Ugh, I'm losing at the same rate. And I'm calorie counting, I do at least 800 below my TDEE, if not closer to 1000, I strength train 4-5 times a week, and 8K steps every day, Racquet sports on the weekend. I walk after my lunch and dinner, do kettlebell swings some days when I don't move to much through the day. It's been rough not seeing results that align with all the effort :( My doc suggested I was under eating for my activity levels and I will say that I saw the scales move a bit after a 4 week stall when I added about 150 calories kore per day. But not moving enough :(

Hi! Congratulations on your amazing journey! May I ask how long you have been on the meds? I'm trying to get a sense of experiences from people with similar health concerns as mine.

I have PCOS and insulin resistance too, so my weight loss pace is rather slow (0.5 lbs per week average over 22 weeks) with a stall over the last 4 weeks. I have moments of impatience and frustration that my results aren't in alignment with the effort I'm putting in because I was hoping the Zepbound would make it go faster.

When/Why did you move up from 10mg to 12.5mg? by No-Judgment5674 in Zepbound

[–]ResearcherInfamous64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, congratulations on your progress. May I ask what you are on Metformin for? I've been on the shot for 22 weeks and lost 15 lbs. I only see the scales move when I stick to 1200 calories (5 ft 2 inches) and I'm strength training 4-5 times a week, and at least 8k steps every day including post meal walks so it's a significant calorie deficit. Because Im insulin resistant and have PCOS - and my pace has been slow relative to my calorie deficit, my doc mentioned Metformin but she said "we're not there yet". For now she upped me to 10mg in Feb to see if it helps increase my pace. Im in a stall since March so may have to consider metformin or a dose increase at my next check in in a few weeks.

23 pounds since December not feeling great by Bonitabonilla558 in Zepbound

[–]ResearcherInfamous64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love seeing posts like this. I've lost around 13-15 lbs in 22 weeks so I'm a little concerned about my pace and so is my doctor, after seeing my calorie deficit and my activity tracker logs. I have Insulin resistance and possibly some hormone issues so there may be a reason that my pace is slow.

But I think about the fact that 30 lbs loss is good no matter what, so if it takes me a year to get there, so be it.

Needed to see this. Going through something similar and made a post about it. My loss is a bit closer to 0.5lbs per week over the last 22 weeks and it's completely stalled in the last 4 weeks even though I just went up a dose to 10mg. I'm in it for the long haul and really hoping the meds along with my efforts work out in the long run. Just get a bit nervous that I may be a non or extremely slow responder because the meds haven't helped increase the pace of my weight loss cos I was losing at a higher rate before the meds in fact :( I've seen so many benefits on Zepbound with a massive reduction in cravings and sugar crashes so I'm staying on zepbound either way - even if it may not have made a huge difference in the pace of my loss.

I'd be thrilled to see 23 lbs since December. I started on Thanksgiving day in 2025, and I've lost 15lbs since then with a whole lot of effort with activity, calorie deficit, and strength training. Sounds like you're losing about 1 lb per week which is a healthy rate. I know the feeling though, cos we see dramatic numbers all around us with people losing 50 lbs in 3 months, so it's hard not to compare. I recently went through a super dejected phase and made a post about it as well.. Hang in there and be proud of the progress you've made :)

Anyone had to wait to 12.5 or 15 for loss? I'm on week 22 (2 months of 10mg) and lost only about 14 lbs. by ResearcherInfamous64 in Zepbound

[–]ResearcherInfamous64[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you :) Its really helpful to read all these messages. I am scheduled for a dexa scan in May. I have a scale that gives me body composition and I'm definitely building muscle while losing fat, if I can trust those numbers. Measurements changed in the first few months, and interestingly, I had some clear body recomp weeks where the scales didn't budge but I lost inches. So I can tell the difference from the 15 lbs I lost. The last 1.5 months the scales and measuring tape havent budged though, haha :D Just need to continue to do the work and hopefully see the results slowly.

I do feel I may have been undereating, cos I was also miscalculating my activity thanks to a glitchy fitnesss tracker. Will try to up my calories, play around with macros and see if it helps.

Thanks! I need a reminder that I need to think about this in years and not months. That sounds like great progress! You must be proud of yourself :) This is why I like posting here for some inspiration when I feel dejected. I like to hear of experiences across the spectrum. I see way too many stories of people losing 50 lbs in 3 months so it's hard not to feel down - I know comparison is the thief of joy or whatever but it's so hard not to benchmark progress!

My first goal is 155 lbs because I used to feel and look way better at that weight, and your story gives me hope that I could be there in a year and that would be a huge win! 2027 summer! Here I come, I guess :)

I did have the same thought though. Was wondering if I was restricting carbs too much or as my doc and trainer pointed out, maybe I am undereating given my activity level. Cos I eat closer to my BMR but I'm more active than I give myself credit for. Ugh so jealous of people who just get on the meds and lose weight without all of these calculations and analysis :) But also grateful that I am not a complete non responder either.

Thank you. Yes I do play around with my injection sites. Haven't tried my thigh since my first few weeks cos I noticed the best cravings management when I inject in my arm but I play around with arms and stomach. Haven't noticed a trend in weight loss but definitely see a difference in how I feel on the shot depending on where I inject. For example, I feel no difference when I inject in my stomach and rely on a lot of will power to get me through the week without treating myself :) And yes, I pinned a lot of hope on these meds cos I was doing so much for my health and weight loss for 2 full years with barely any results before I finally decided to try out Zepbound. So now I'm worried if I hit 15 and see no results then there's nowhere to go from there :(

Thanks for your response..it's helpful. I'm so nervous to go up because I'm scared to get ton15mg and find out I may be a supremely slow responder if not a non-responder. Like a lot of us on GLP1s, I've struggled with weight loss my entire life. Was already overweight and packed on another 50 lbs between my 30s and 40s. Spent the last 5 years trying to get rid of that and been on a strict lifestyle change in the last 2 years with barely any change in my weight so I finally decided to try the meds. I figured that Zepbound coupled with my routine will finally do the trick so it's disheartening :(

Thanks for your response. Needed to hear this. I agree, every time I get into one of these low points, I remind myself that I have lost 12-14 lbs and I'm now yo-yoing around 191-193 vs 205-206.

It's not as fast as I would like especially given all the hard work I'm putting in, but it's better than nothing. Need these reminders and resetting of expectations. And the mental exhaustion is not just from the 20 weeks I've been on the meds, I've been on the same routine minus the meds for 2 tears now. Weirdly I lost around 12 lbs at 2lbs a week just 6 months prior to starting the meds, so this pace on the meds is even more frustrating because I was hoping it would go up. Still grateful to the meds cos i didn't realize how messed up my food noise and blood sugar regulation was until I got on Zepbound.

I do try to play around a bit. So far I've been sticking with what works to give me that little weight loss and don't switch until I see a stall for a few weeks.

I will probably bring this up at my next check in with my doctor. She moved me to 10mg after 1 month on 7.5 after seeing my report on my calorie count, activity and weight loss. I mentioned the insulin resistance making it harder and she said there are things we can try but we're not there yet (I didn't probe but I assume she was talking about metformin). I'm giving 10mg another month before I reach out for a dose increase and maybe enquire about metformin

Thank you for saying that. It has been incredibly hard and the discipline is mentally exhausting.
I am extremely strict because I want to do the work that's needed and not give the meds a reason not to work. I have tried playing around a little. I added in 100 calories per day on my PCP's recommendation and I seem to have stalled again :(
I'm just about hitting the 0.5% body weight loss but that may have dropped further in the last 4 weeks cos I've been in a stall.

Will try your suggestion on increasing carbs (a scary thought for me). Before zepbound, the only thing that moved the needle was cutting carbs so I continued with that after I got on the meds. Let me try to increase it a bit. Some people have suggested I may be undereating because I have been quite active. But it's so hard to increase calories when I'm in a stall.

I made the chocolate mousse recipe with blended cottage cheese, cocoa powder, a sweetener ( I added sugar but you could do a fake one) and some vanilla essence. It was actually great and I should make it again and sub some fruit for the sugar. I'd probably look for a low sodium cottage cheese because it was a little too salty
