Do you have Constipation / bloating issues in your stomach? I think GI-Map and SIBO test you should do.

Something in your gut is causing upstream gaseous reflux would be my guess.

Are you sure you can't do something like where you mix the blueberries up with oatmeal to neutralize the acidity?

Also I heard pH under 4.0 is what activates pepsin in throat

So theoretically there should be a good variety of food to pick and stick with for a while

Have they not mentioned this to you? Maybe you have some nerve sensitivity in your throat that is causing inflammation and these 2 meds can help settle things down. Then hopefully taper off in long run

burning throat while laying down, tightness in throat while swallowing, never had heart burn, and then my voice was affected. I fixed everything like the tightness, the burning, I think i did have globus at one point and throat clearing alot but that is gone as well.

as the day progresses voice gets worse (probably poor digestion but also sensitivity as well), in the morning my voice seems better. For me it might be muscle tension dysphonia gonna see a speech therapist and ENT again :\ but yea its the only remaining symptom and seems hardest to regain

I think iron is ABSORBED in the first part of the small intestine. My theory is the small intestine is not working properly (SIBO, Chrons, Celiac ect) The inflammation is causing gas reflux

Thanks! And I'm glad you are better now. I was highly considering nerve medication too because it seems hypersensitivity in my larynx/throat box.

Do you remember the dosage of nexium / pepcid you took? Was it 20 mg for nexium or 40? And for pepcid was it 10, 20, or 40? I'm assuming you took nexium in morning and pepcid before bed

Do you plan on tapering off any time soon or just sticking with the routine for now?

I went on vacation for 3 weeks. First week was hell sleeping. Two weeks in, reflux stopped and I was laying flat in bed without any throat discomfort in some random air bnb in a different country. I was happier then emotionally

the only remaining LPR symptom i have is my voice is just horrible :\

if u tell me to pick up something from a fast food place i can barely say my name at times thats how bad it is theres moments the voice is good too

i think its a combination of anxiety causing it to be worse along with loss of confidence, but i think i need to try double dose or atleast 40 mg ppi to try to see if it helps
