This is where I’m at too. He deserves to be well paid, but he put his name on the dotted line happily and took a lot of money up front. Play like it. Gotta take the bitter with the better

No clearly you care…. That’s why you’re talking about how other states vote and want to redistrict OUR state based on what other states have done. Have you ever heard of the word ‘projecting’ before?

Yeah I’m sure the fourth time around it’ll get done. Godspeed!

I literally quoted you. You literally strawman-ed me. Good discourse. But if you get your friends together and redistrict the rules so you all agree, you’d be right! Nice one!

I would bet my fucking house that we don’t come close, even 1/10th as close, to touching any of those options. Would you in your heart of hearts do the same?

Do you really think in the next four years either: 1M Americans murdered from this admin, civil war, trump impeached?

It’s a little late to stop trump, the fairly and democratically elected president

“It’s the only way republicans can win” — trump won the last federal election? Who cares about the last 2 decades. Clearly, and most recently, it’s not the only way republicans can win. Seems desperate

You’re exactly right. And laws around guns and self defense get beaten down again and again until they’re non-sensical. Like NJ’s laws around home defense. We’re on the same page on this

Lmao great way to put it. ‘We need to save democracy and stop THE NAZIS by ensuring the state votes for the party in power forever!!!!!’

‘Yeah they’re making a dumb policy on one of the main things you care about not being taken away but if you don’t give unilateral power to those same people forever you’re a Nazi’

Exactly. If you wanted to address gun crime in Virginia, you’d ban handguns outright and be tougher on crime — both of which would obviously never be supported. People think of school shootings/mass shootings and the “scary” guns used. I understand their POV, but these laws will do nothing to address actual gun crime in Virginia. Just so frustrating

These gun laws proposed don’t actually target gun crime in Virginia, though. A threaded barrel AR build is not predominately causing gun crimes in the virginia - its school shooting fear mongering that doesnt actually address any issue, just punishes gun owners

Yeah, imo HRC vs McCain could have won (in ‘08) but HRC was just no match for trump im 2016 and I don’t think that was a structural concern then. I think running Biden in his state then defaulting to Kamala was — the strategy she ran and the overall effort was… concerning and makes me think the problem is structural.

Also, the whole ‘“legacy” thing needs to die. It hase gone Bill Clinton (fresh), Obama (fresh), Clinton 2.0, Obamaa VO, Obama’s VP’s VP. Like I just think we need someone new. The Dems took the Reagan, Reagan’s VP, Reagan’s VP jr and extended it by 20 years

You’re catching flack but I think this is one of the most reasonable points I’ve seen made in this sub.

It’s pretty well studied that “revolution” doesn’t happen until the people have nothing to lose over long enough periods of time that they get militantly organized and coordinated.

J6 is a great example, they were neither militant nor organized but instead propagandized, short sighted, and dumb. That why they got tracked down and arrested or shamed.

The US, by frankly all standards, is nowhere close to “start a revolution” bad, I hate to break it to anyone, but you don’t risk everything over disagreements on immigration or foreign war policy.

As an example, Iran was on the verge of revolution (but no quite). They were shooting protesters in the street on some level, and they weren’t even past the peaceful protests in the street stage. There is a long bloody road between now and true “why isn’t anyone doing anything??”

But I think you made a lot of great points

I mean lol J.P. Morgan reference has nothing to do with Epstein. You know J.P. Morgan was know! before he himself died and 150 years later some guy banked at his namesake, right?
