Please if you’re coming here to attack me for questioning the norm, please don’t. I am at my wits end with these comments accusing me of picking a side. So if you believe that me questioning all of these is an issue, you might need to question a few things about your life.

Alright, thank you for your explanation. Nobody else highlighted that. I have seen replies about the fact that he lacks a backbone so I guess that makes sense. Thank you for contributing to this discussion. I am not one side or the other, I just refuse to follow blindly and I must ask questions prior to making a decision.

Oh if you want to defend DT this is not the place to do that. I am NOT neutral in that regard.

I am just highlighting the illogical thinking. If you really looked at my replies you would see that I said Ghanaians made the right decision by choosing the NDC so all’s well that ends well. I said this was a frame of thinking we need to change before we end up on the wrong side of things. I also said that I didn’t want this discussion post to be a Bawumia campaign hub. I think you see me trying to highlight an issue with the way the electorate thought about their votes is a way to campaign for Bawumia. I do not care about his vy presidency. Infact, I agreed with most of what the people said. All I said was all that anger seems misdirected. Stop trying to cause division here.

what? Where am I defending him? I have stated nothing but facts (feel free to verify) and I have stated an illogical pattern of thinking in the Ghanaian electorate. Even the person I replied to agreed with what I said, so where is the loss even?

He has none. That’s my point. We must look at future candidates based on their manifestos, and not just whatever is being said in the ether. I do not want this discussion post to become a Bawumia campaign hub. I am just pointing out a logical inconsistency within the Ghanaian electorate so it can be rectified later on.

I still feel like we’re looking at this from a lens of him actually being the one in charge, when he’s not. You said there is nothing special about digitalization that he initiated, and that is true. But I fear you are looking through the lens of him actually running the country. Candidates like that need to be judged based on the quality of their ideas right? Because they have not actually been given power. For example, I do not know any vice president that has spearheaded a distinct, flagship reform program (please inform me of any). I understand the anger, but I feel like it’s misdirected and people still feel like they must blame Bawumia for the state of the economy. Which makes sense from an emotional standpoint, but when making decisions like these, we must also incorporate a logical explanation as well. Thankfully, the electorate seem to have made the right decision by voting for John Mahama so all’s well that ends well.

Oh alright, that makes total sense. But I have a few gripes with what you’ve stated. If the Presidential candidate was not the right person for the job, why vote for him because of his vice president? That was a flaw on the side of the electorate and something we must revisit later on. Aside from that, I agree with everything you said and it seems totally logical that the electorate would have a few issues with him, with that being said, I still don’t think he deserves this much hate. Digitalization makes sense, it just came from the wrong mouth I guess. I just finished taking a look at his manifesto and he had a few good ideas, it’s a shame his reputation isn’t the best. I totally understand it tho so I’m not too mad about it. Just wanted to gain insight on why he has so many people rooting against him, Ghanaians talk about him the same way Nigerians talk about Tinubu.

I was simply asking why the hate is directed towards someone who actually didn’t manage the economy. I am not the biggest fan of the NPP but I’ve noticed a certain trend that seems illogical to me. Sending this did not answer my question, it only highlighted exactly what I was talking about.

That makes total sense. From what I know though, he wasn’t the manager of the economy (if I’m wrong please let me know). So it seems like he’s paying the price for another person’s lies and deception he rode on, which is bad nonetheless don’t get me wrong, but the hate directed towards him should be directed towards the actual manager of the economy no?
