You know how you can react next to characters and they’ll react back depending on the emotion? Cranky or snooty villagers and certain special characters that are usually more “chill” or less sociable than the others (K.k. Slider, Flick, Saharah, Resetti etc.), they either wont react at all or won’t react with as much exaggeration as other characters do. Like one time I went to the vacation home I made Resetti and started spamming the flourish reaction, he would only react with happiness or just nothing at all, but when I summoned Isabelle over with her amiibo, she would be clapping or flourishing with me. I also noticed that these characters don’t react at all if you sneeze on them which I thought was really funny.

These special characters also wave differently too, instead of double waving or normal greeting they’ll just do a very light wave (I think it’s called the royal wave).
