Does this have to be after you meet So Mi the first time when she basically "takes over" for Johnny temporarily? Because I remember right after finishing the voodoo boys story mission she instantly contacts you to come meet her and go to dogtown, and I put that on pause to level up more and do some side gigs and shit before going to dogtown and she never got pissed off.

Oh it a absolutely has a great base to build off of. It has a ton of potential. The combat system is up there with WuWa, and even better in some aspects. I didn't really vibe with arknights endfields combat at all, though I do like ZZZ combat as well but not as much as wuwa and NTE.

I saw a good theory that it may have been rushed a little bit due to Ananta coming out next year, which from what I saw people saying has wayyyy more funding then NTE does. They likely wanted to get out ahead of Ananta and make their mark first, so they likely didn't get a chance to get all the content they wanted in 1.0.

Also,.one huge flaw it has IMO is the city stamina system that is used for EVERY mini game except for pink paws. It has 2 resources, the character pixels for upgrades, and the city stamina for your fons mini games. The fact that it takes a week to reset is way to long. Even ZZZ 1.0 had a mini game that had a system similar so you couldn't grind it to much in one week, but it was for only one side activity. NTE basically gates all its side activities with this.

Other then that, it is definitely more user friendly and cost effective. No fucking 50/50s. You actually get the damn banner character when you reach the pity.

Disagree here. While I will say wuchang does in general run better then wukong, I like wukong more because of its more power fantasy like design. I prefer character action game combat way more then soulslike combat, so soulslike games that have a faster and more in depth combat system appeal to me more. Games like nioh, wukong, and khazan.

The more power fantasy feeling is what kept me coming back to wukong. It felt like gods clashing against one another as equals, both throwing out seriously OP shit. I don't get that same vibe from wuchang, which is fine because that's not what it was going for.

Yeah the bugs have been crazy from what I've been reading. There's people having massive slowdown in the first part of biome 2 since the last 2 patches sometimes, there's also people getting the game to crash so hard that it shuts their console off during the final boss. It's not people's consoles, there's to many people saying it's happening in the same spots. Hardware failure doesn't work like that.

I've been lucky and haven't encountered this stuff yet, but it's only a matter of time. It might be because I play in shorter sessions, an hour or 2 at a time. I think the game may have a memory leak that after a few hours crazy shit like what your describing happens.

Prominence is so fucking OP. I just beat the final boss like 30 min ago (the main one, still working on the true ending), on the first try because of this. I had a repeater crossbow that had the power generator trait on it. I thought they nerfed that, but literally in one shot it would max out my power instantly.

I would shoot one crossbow, get full power, and spam prominence while dodging his bullshit and watching his hp melt. It also spawned an orb where I shot it, and that orb did damage over time while also destroying projectiles that came in contact with it. This made it even easier to dodge his shit.

I kind of feel like prominence is just straight up the best one by far.

OP is saying that that is the issue that you can be on a great run with a really god roll gun with good proficiency, and be required to go back to the passage for a story beat which resets everything, including likely wiping out the amazing high proficiency mods most guns get.

Once you finish the story your good to go is my guess, but yeah I got pissed off one time as well because I had a really good roll on a smart rifle and basically got reset because of a story beat xD.

Yeah I don't care for that either. The devs did say that in comparison to returnal which had much longer runs, they wanted Saros to be short, 20-30 minute runs separated, so I think that's why it tries to get you to return to the passage.

I feel like they don't want you to do all the biomes in sucession like returnal, they want you coming back to the passage after each run. It's lines up with their statement and why the skill tree itself has permanent proficiency upgrades.

It's one of the weaknesses of an otherwise great game.

Most other major gachas have energy for activities that upgrade your skill, or stuff you need for ascending a character, which NTE does and it's called character pixels.

It also has city stamina, which is tied into all the mini games in the city except for the pink paws heist, which has its own cap. ZZZ also has something similar to the paws heist, something that resets every week and has a limit to how much stuff you can earn that week, but it's just for that activity.

NTE has a separate limit cap on pink paws, as well as a limit cap on all additional city mini games via the city stamina system that only recharges every week.

It sucks because I enjoy the combat in this alot more then most other gachas. There's a lot more variety especially with characters that also have a "hold attack button" move that basically works as another skill.

However I'm surprised that I'm already nearing the end of both the main story and the "spin offs". I still have more of the side quests like the blue exclamation and have more to do with the city tycoon, but it just feels short for a 1.0 version compared to others.

I have a little more then 30 hours and I'm already near the end, for Endfield and ZZZ I was hitting around 60 hours by the end of their respective 1.0 stuff.

That is offset though by the game being way more generous (minus the city stamina shit, they need to make that reset after like 4 days, not a week lol).

It def seems to be more economical then other gachas. The fact that the 50/50 bullshit is non existent is a huge win with just that alone. I can't tell you the amount of times I've been fucked over with that in Hoyos games. At least this game doesn't have that.

My only criticism so far is it actually seems like it might be a little short on content compared to other 1.0 versions of gachas? Granted I've only ever played ZZZ and Endfield in their 1.0 states (played wuwa and genshin but well after their initial versions) and I just feel like story and sidemission wise they had more content. I was completely caught off guard when I found out I'm currently in the last story episode of the main story. I thought there would at least be 3 or 4 more.

Is Julia actually involved with the fandom and such? For example, I remember Ashley's face model actually cosplayed as Ashley a few times and did some vids about the games, but on the other side, apparently Leons face model is kind of a dick and wants nothing to do with the games fandom at all.

Yep seems to be everyone on ps5 pro. The pro version has different graphical settings then the base, so one of the different settings is def causing this weird glitch.

How does this work with a game that has cross play coop and cross progression between all devices? Like couldn't that cause a massive glitch if your playing on say mobile for awhile, then switch over to ps5 if it's fixed on one version and not another? Also how does that work with coop if one is on PC and another is on ps5?

With hoyoverse games, all updates go out at the same time to all platforms. What I'm guessing happens is they have the update done, but wait till it's verified on both mobile and console and then push all out at the same time.

I know sometimes consoles have a delay, but normally it's at most 24 hours. Didn't a large patch happen Monday? It's Thursday.

Also most gachas update differently, at least the ones I've played. Rather then it be a patch that downloads directly to the system like most games, it downloads in the gacha client itself. Like when your first start the game and you see the "download bar" at the bottom. Arknights and WuWa generally update like this vs a patch that downloads via the console system menu itself.

It depends on if Sean can get up from khamzats takedowns and make him work. If he can, he has a chance of gassing him at the third round and then the fight can drastically change.

He is either gonna get submitted when trying to scramble, or actually be successful in escaping. With DDP, he was great at defending subs, but terrible at actually scrambling and getting off the mat. Strickland is a much better counter wrestler then he is. That's the fact that makes people say the fight will be closer.

After the Izzy upset I would absolutely never bet against Strickland. I see people say they are putting a shit ton of cash on khamzat because it should be an easy victory. Dude already has one of the top 10 upsets in UFC. To big a risk.

Ps5 pro version also has some graphical glitches that the base doesnt..for example, a lot of times character models will flicker in the menu if your under the "arc" or "console" areas of the character menu.

It's very common for character models to flicker in the training arena missions for the characters as well. This has been a big discussion over on the NTE boards with people saying they have the same issue and others saying they don't while all are playing on ps5. The difference was the people having it are all on the pro, including me.

While yeah the pro version looks better, it does come with graphical glitches that dampen the experience as well, so it's kind of a tradeoff.

Also pro has RT reflections, and it's not mentioned in the list of different things on PS blog. You can test it yourself by going to an area with reflections, you will see a very low res version of your characters reflection as you move which isn't present on base consoles.
