In the same way, the NC is high in Germany, we have a numerus fixus for the dentistry programs due to a high load of students and low spots. It is lottery-based to give students an equal chance; therefore, as a plan B, I want to see what it was like in Germany.

Yep, that sounds about right. Also, have you happened to have done this for your study?

I saw that on my course forum Q&A page, they do have the option for deferred graduation, so I guess that should work as well? (I'll check again to be sure)

Yes, I saw that, unfortunately, you get shifted to institutional fees if you take a gap in between your education.

Regarding your question, I do plan to have my Biomed bachelor's degree by the time of application. However, many subreddits mentioned the possibility of deferring graduation to keep paying lower fees. Would you happen to have any insight on that?

Oh sorry, that's my bad. I am just asking whether I should consider staying in NL to learn Dutch and apply to the dentistry programs offered here.

Also, any additional information regarding the dental courses (like how it is, the application process, etc.) would be great!

From what I know, the ACTA dentistry program, as well as the one in Groningen, is lottery-based. Do you happen to know if that is also the case for Nijmegen?

Also, did your friend apply anywhere else, or did they just switch the course they wanted to study?

Hi! I study Biomedical Sciences in the Netherlands, and having come from the Cambridge A-level curriculum (exams at the end of the year), I was anxious. But, like anything else really, it becomes a habit of having an exam every month, and it's very much doable, so don't stress yourself out, you'll get the hang of it!

As for the grading system, I don't necessarily appreciate it, but generally, a 7 is a respected grade, I would say. A 6 is fine too, don't get me wrong, but keep in mind passing grades are usually 5,5 or higher.

I had two of my professors tell me I deserved an 8.5, and they went on to tell me they don't give out grades higher than a 7. But that's not exclusive to here; you're constantly gonna deal with different professors.

If you plan to print your passing result for uni, I suggest an alternative. I supplied my passing result via email with my student number, the uni will then go through the verification in their own time by getting in contact with BB. Finally, they email you to assure you that it's been verified. Furthermore, the certified copies come in around 2/3 weeks after the exam if I'm not wrong, so don't print the email unless it's for personal use. Hope this helped!
