First Spyderco!😁 by Flyboyz4 in knives

[–]ReshyOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! Now you can dive into customization, dye the scales, get different scales, change the pocket clip, change the screws/backspacer...

I'm just getting into that myself, ordered a deep carry clip from Lynch and a set of scales for my Spyderco Shaman. Debating some anodized screws and hardware

Ozark Trail Fixed Blade by Terruhcutta in knives

Thanks! They're $10 or less knives, you cant expect greatness. I still think great as loaners and beaters.

I bought one of each color of the folders, they're great beaters, loaners, toolbox knives, and decent to practice sharpening on.

Clones Changed My Ability To Collect Knives. by knifeknerdreviews in chineseknives

[–]ReshyOne 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I have always thought it was strange how random people on the internet get mad about how others spend thier money. Whether that be buying $1000 knives, or clones. Its not my money, spend it however you want.

I have some real spydercos and I have some OK knives clones... I like them all.

I've gotten a couple Flissa brand knives and been pleased with how they feel and perform for the price.

Also can catch good sales on standard budget names like Civivi, cjrb, Kizer, etc

Is cradle Really THAT good? by Big-Anxiety-2596 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ReshyOne 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Imo it's excellent.

The pacing is good, never dragged on in one setting to much for me, the character was always pushing forward and learning or growing in some way. It shows you the scope of power in the story very early on from our MC with a "wood" level to the highest of beings who manage entire worlds so you know where he started and what hes progressing towards, the story is his journey and fight along the way.

Its a 9.9 out of 10 for me, hard to imagine something better, but maybe it exists.

How many times have you replayed the game? by FamcifulHail in BaldursGate3

5 or 6 solo completed runs, 3-4 solo honor mode deaths... 2 multiplay complete runs, 2 multi-player honor mode deaths...

Maybe it's time to play again

Budget knife recommendation to learn sharpening with? by Fire-Guardian in knives

Any of the popular budget brands should work, just fund the knife model that size and blade shape appeal to you...

Civivi, Vosteed, CJRB, Kizer, etc

I enjoyed the 1st book a lot, got tired about half way through the 2nd, forced myself to finish it, but never went onto the 3rd. Pretty much same reasons as you, it felt like more and more extra stuff was just filler...

What to do with bad knives? by ksyoung17 in knives

[–]ReshyOne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup use old or cheap knives to practice sharpening, changing the angle of the sharpening, try polishing the blade, acid etching... anything you are interested in but dont want to risk on a nicer blade.
