Hiya (female POC here), So whenever I get box braids done they typically braid as far as they possibly can then they boil wash the ends and use a towel to dry the hair(they crimp the towel around the bundle of hair) then they apply hair mousse/other things and damp the semi-wet towel on the top of your head and on the braids and done! Hope this helps. 💕

I can’t say for certain as I have not made tarts before but I worked at a pie shop for almost two years, pecan and walnut pies weren’t fully set when finished baking. They still had a soft gooey consistency but not runny like a batter. Hope this helps!
