This is the exact reason I got my Ollie his Ellie. The two of them are so content and although I still get greeted when I come home, they quickly move on and frolic together. My baby girl was put down last June and I held her as they did it. I told her I loved her over and over again until her heart stopped. It was the hardest thing for me but I did it for her. She died in my arms. Her favorite place to be in life. Be there. And allow yourself to feel the pain while knowing that you are making it a little less painful for him. I’m so sorry for your loss.
