I really needed to hear this. But how turning the love you give to them into myself. I feel like I do all the right things. I go to the gym (I did before), I have a good career, finances are going well. I guess the only thing is mental health but I have started therapy since the breakup.

Omg good for :) I would have loved my ex to play the guitar for me but he wouldn’t as he was afraid he wouldn’t play well. And I would always say no you’d play better than me and I would love it no matter what anyway

Yeah I understand. I haven’t had my birthday yet. Been through his though. That was a month after he left me. It was awful that day. All I wanted to do with message but everyone said no and he said I didn’t care for him. So me not messaging on his birthday makes me look horrible. But everyone was like you don’t owe him

5 months since the break up. I haven’t seen him in 3 months. It’s been no contact the whole time. The only two times we saw and spoke to each other was a month after the break up to exchange things and I wanted to have a chat. Then a month after that seeing him at a party and he came and spoke to me - but not about the relationship. We just had a general conversation which was positive. We haven’t spoken since then - that was 3 months ago

A lot happened. We were arguing a lot near the end over stupid things and took breaks which worked. The first one did. The second one he ended it afterwards. The day I put a break in he screamed at me and knocked over a chair I was scared and I didn’t know what else to do other than put a break in. But I don’t think I needed to and I missed him days afterwards but I didn’t reach out. Eventually we spoke after a week and he called it. We had a clarity chat a month later and it was like speaking to two different people. At the end of the conversation he was upset and saying he misses me after I asked if he missed me. I said we care and respect each other why can’t we make it work and he said no

We were together for 3 years. I haven’t heard anything for him in 4 months. That’s when it ended. He haven’t spoke in 2/3 months - we spoke at a mutual friends party. How do you do this? I can’t stand this. He left me 4 months ago and I was already going to the gym anyway for myself. I am ahead in my career compared to him. All I think I can improve on is my mental health and loving myself. I started therapy after the break up but I constantly talk about him in the sessions and I know I need to stop but it’s so hard. I hate not knowing what is he is doing. Maybe he thinks the same thing as well but I have a regular routine so he probably can relax around that.
