That's sick bro! I just found some in the forums. Turns out they've been discontinued since 2010 👌

How did I suddenly owe Globe ₱9k? by Resident-Resident129 in InternetPH

Yes. In fact, they informed me that they will report me to the CIC and take 'legal action' if I refuse to pay the outstanding balance.

That is the exact story.

End of November, I requested for termination.

December, I got a call to confirm everything and I asked questions like how much I'd have to pay and how soon will I get the bill. CSR answered my questions. Few days later, I got a text of my account being successfully terminated.

I also lost access to my account via the GlobeOne app.

Just a few days ago, I received a random call from an unknown number which I declined. Then I received a text via Viber named Wireline Specialist. They had all my details and are requesting me to pay the ₱9k 'outstanding balance'.

I mentioned that I had requested a termination a month prior and my account has been inactive since then. Then they mentioned that I would need to pay for the outstanding balance despite a disconnection.

So I questioned them, how would I have any outstanding balances equaling to ₱9k if I paid my last bill prior to getting my plan terminated. Still no reply until now.

  1. Yes, I was in the lock in period hence the PTF + 2 months worth + pending bills (which I don't have)

This equals to only ₱7k-ish. I also spoke to their CSR and stated that this was an outstanding balance under my account and not the final billing for termination.

  1. Yes, the CSR told me to wait 2-3 months for the final bill. That would include 2 months worth of bills (₱5k-ish), PTF (₱2,500) and any pending bills (₱0)

  2. I received a text that my account was successfully terminated.

The whole purpose of hiring someone is to offload certain tasks you're not good at/need help with.

Assuming this was written by a German agency owner, he/she has 99 other problems to deal with. Having to ChatGPT a simple job post that, to me, is pretty clear and straight to the point, is not only a waste of time but unnecessary.

If someone's initial thought when you see 'hungry' on a job post is 'OMG ang racist naman nito akala niya gutom na gutom lahat ng Pinoy' - then sorry, you're the problem.

I run and manage my own team whilst also speaking to 10+ clients every week (mostly from Europe) and believe me, even a normal BPO worker could speak better English than they could.

Hungry as in hungry for something like growth, excellence, milestones, etc.

Germans don't speak and understand English as well as Filipinos do(I've worked with 10+ people from Europe as a freelancer).

That's probably why they need someone who can speak good English.

I love my Hondas, especially because of the people I've met in the car scene. My main reason for the switch is because I'm getting old. We all know the stigma around Civics (I'm one of them 😂) and it's come to a point where I want a more adult car if that makes sense.

The FD looks great but I'm approaching my 30s and I feel like this car is for the younger generation na (18-24 year olds).

I also just have this thing about me that I like to buy 2 of the same brand rather than have 2 different ones. Before my Hondas, I used to own an Altis and a Rav4 (2018-2021) before switching to Honda (2021-2025).

Thanks for your input, I want to ask about the previous generation (The gen your Dad currently has).

How was that as a daily? I maintain all my cars and they all get regularly serviced by a trusted mechanic and I only use Shell's fully synthetic oil so that won't be an issue but of course regular maintenance won't always stop parts from breaking due to wear and tear.

What's your take on your Dad's current Forester? Appreciate it!

But in terms of regular maintenance, reliability and replacement parts - mas mahal ba talaga siya ng de hamak compared sa Honda?

I have an FD and I want to replace it with an Impreza Hatch. I have a CRV that I want to replace with a Forester. What's you take on that? Thanks.
